What about where the ref warned Kessler for head use and warned Bika whilst Ward used elbows and foul play?
I agree the ref in Ottke/Reid was terrible, but lets not try and make excuses.
Also Ward looked very lucky to me against D Boone

I don't have to look up to that site and each fighter's professional record. Ottke I can't even remember how he used to fight but for the fact that he was so amateurish, straight up, jab and counter, never pushing his opponent to the limit, never looking to seriously hurt him and the german crowd basically yelling and chanting each and every time when he connected with scoring shots, his beautiful red hair wife always on front row and cheering him up and that's it... Andre Ward I don't need to go very long but just to say that he's a slick, accomplished, creative and smart pro boxer. He steps in with excellent sense of distance and timing, connects, suddenly he's in the inside and breaking off, always landing left hooks, right uppercuts, right counters down the pipe and always blocking and dodging punches as he steps in and out. Power is not the main point here between these two.

    Ward's power is underrated.

Neither man has a KO punch. While both are almost featherfirsted, Ward has enough to make the opponent respect him. Ottke needed the ref to protect him if the opponent wanted t walk through him.

Has Ward ever KOd anyone as good as Mundine? A Echoles and M Kessler couldnt KO Mundine yet Ottke did.
Ward looked to the ref against Bika.
When did an opponent walk through Ottke? I think Reid may have done enough to win but he didnt walk through Ottke or try to.
D Boone pushed Ward around the ring

    Who actually watches these two?

Ward cannot even sell his fights in his own hometown. Ottke might but they would have to pay me to watch his fight.

its only seen as "**** poor" cuz Ward is above everyone in skill :yep

its actually one of the strongest divisions in boxing which is why they created the S6 for that division

For me the punch Ward landed looks harder......but, yeah, it´s not a bad comparison......
But, let´s be honest here..... this comparison is not fair because Ottke finished his career already, we have a wider view of things in his case......now Ward has a lot to do yet......we can´t compare fairly like we are doing here.....

But hey, why would you care to fair analysis of thing, huh Joe ?
