How would this version of Mosley do against current Mayweather/Pacquiao? I thought he beat Cotto...and he wasnt afraid to let his hands go. Who wins?
Shane Mosely DID NOT BEAT COTTO. Maybe you need to really watch that fight again. I can see someone saying it he fought him close, but that doesn't mean he won.
That version would have beat Floyd imo. Pacquiao not so sure. Shane was more aggressive at that time. That could have been a great fight.
Interesting I thought cotto pretty much schooled a desperate Mosley, the Blackfoot boxing was merely a mixture of over cautiousness and new found confidence in his boxing ability.
The only version of Mosley that beats either Floyd or Manny is the man who jumped up two weight categories to beat Oscar. This version beats Floyd up and knocks Manny out.
I think anybody who thinks Shane won that fight is blind. Cotto clearly landed the cleaner effective punches in that fight, and even when Shane got aggressive towards the end of the fight, Cotto was still landing the cleaner effective punches when he started to box.
07 Shane is not much different from 10 Shane. I dare someone to look at the tape and tell me otherwise. He was still a big puncher masquerading as a boxer. He was still jittery back then, still didn't have a jab, Anf still closed his eyes when he punched. I also want you guys to look after the third round of the Cotto fight. He's in ilhis corner breathing with his mouth open.
No version of Mosley is beating Mayweather up. He probably wouldn't knock out Pacquiao either. However, the version that beat Hoya is probably best equipped to he's the two.
I watched it lastnite...you're right it was close...i thought Mosley won 7-5...the judges scored it 7-5 Cotto
if u thought he beat cotto your eyes were closed close fight but as it went on cotto was stronger and winning the fight. i never forget after the fight mosley gave him his props and said he beat him
I've watched that fight at least 15 times, and I got Cotto beating him everytime. There's nothing Cotto could done anymore in that fight than what he did. Shane fought a good fight but come on, you can't be serious suggesting that he won.
Exactly. He only starting switching his tone up, when he found out that a lot of people had the fight close but he knew he loss.
But he fought till the end and tried to win....the Mosley that fought May/Pac was there to vollect a check and give Pac high-fives
