    ?

    Hopkins has every right to have the self confidence he does. He's earned his place in history. He wasn't being pompous, he was being honest. For a reporter to come up to him and basically have no meaningful questions, especially considering his past relationship with media and his mood leading up to fight time, it's perfectly reasonable to expect him to have no patience for useless banter.

    Yeah can't wait for Hopkins to retire so we can watch hypjobs like Brandon Rios and Chavez jr work their way to the top of the sport via the aid of corrupt promoters :hammertime:hammertime

    Good interview, I like what Hopkins said about three strikes and how he gets it right on strike two. He is right about what he said, never do the same thing three times if it has not worked the first two times.

    Hopkins is already acting like he has two strikes, but he said he is different.

    Hopkins has that "me against the world mentality" for this one by the looks of it.

    He deserves respect, yeah. Every fighter does. I don't understand why he thinks he's on a different level to anyone else though.

    He isn't the greatest fighter around today. He wasn't the best fighter around when he was in his peak. He shamelessly ducked two of the best opponents of his era.

    I'm not a 'hater' or anything like that, but Hopkins does have a hugely exaggerated opinion of himself. He was a good fighter and has a good legacy. He thinks he belongs on the level of Ali, Robinson, Duran etc., when the reality is, he has done very little to warrant that.

    I hope so :good

    He's an arrogant *****. When he came over to England to promote the fight with Calzaghe, he was crying about his make-up van being cold or something. It was pathetic. On one hand he wants to talk about being 'from the streets', 'being a Philly legend' and all that, and then the next minute he's crying because he's ****ing cold. It's pathetic.

    :lol::lol:

    Who did he 'shamelessly' duck? he fought everyone there was to fight at the given time, the only real fight that didn't come off was the James Toney one and that was more Don King's fault then anyone else.

    **** off Hopkins! You burnt your bridges you ****. There's only so much racism, fouling and faking injury a fan can take.

    The sports better off without your racist, fouling ass. You're the houdini of boxing - they don't see it but I do.....
