I was joking, no need to take offense:smooch

Pretty interesting info though thanks. Didn't know that. Still think he'd be bigger than Haye but he'd definitely have a much better shot and wouldn't flop around like Haye. Haye made the Miami Heat proud that night.

Wlad= Chin Made of wet cardboard

Foreman= ATG Power, Chin made of granite

    If Sanders, Peter and Brewster can KD Wlad, and If Haye can make him hold on to his dear life;

Then George Foreman can kill him

    No offense taken. :good

Just posting the info, because I too find it interesting that
"Big" George Foreman really wouldn't be big at all for a Heavyweight today.

you're right. It takes a the talent and size of Brewster, a Purrity, a Sanders to hang with Wlad.

The Purrities, the Brewsters, the Sanders are once in a generation talents, shooting stars, giants among men. And it took these men to do the nigh impossible -- to crack the uncrackable chin. Vlad's chin, that is. Nigh uncrackable unless you're a Brewster, a Purrity, or a Sanders.

And besides, George Foreman never shot a round of golf in his entire life.

Bringing up Sanders, etc...Why would you assume it's the Wladimir of 8-years ago fighting Foreman?

Why not talk about PRIME as the thread title suggests. Prime Wladimir is today, and the last couple years.

your definition of "prime" is circular -- i.e. defined based on his results.

Yes, and Valuev is bigger than Wlad, what's your point?

Are you seriously comparing Foreman with David Haye?!

Assuming you mean overall skill, that's not what I was doing.

I was making the observation that "Big" George Foreman
in his prime was about the same size as Haye's average at
heavyweight. Most people, especially casual fans, if you told them that,
their first reaction would probably be to not believe you....it's a surprising,
and interesting bit of info, imo.

Wladimir's prime is now. He has a better trainer, better training methods, better nutrition,
everything is better. The results are a product of him being better.

Anyone who thinks that the Wladimir of 8-years ago is better than, or even equal to, the Wladimir today...
well, that's wishful thinking on the part of a hater..that's all it can be.

C'mon now Foreman would have obviously won. Dude was Black.:patsch

I do not think he played football or basketball, so it may have been quite that easy...

Foreman KO2. Wlad gets dropped about five times. Wlad
really has matured into a master technician with a great
jab and a devastating left hook and right hand, and
defense ring iq etc. He would give many atgs problems.
That being said George Foreman, say 40-0 with 35kos
was a freak of nature, A wrecking ball who would not
stop until is opponent was battered and beaten. Prime
George had a snapping, powerful jab, iron chin, and
devastating power. George would cut off the ring, eat
a shot or 2,then unload devastatting power shots and
finish Wlad. George was too strong, tough, and determined.
Wlads chin could not survive an early Foreman onslaught

he'd be a good deal fitter though.

At 38 you've already lost a chunk of your twentysomething peak lung capacity. So what you mean is that he is a very late bloomer.

without trying to make you sound like a complete idiot, Haye and Foreman do punch slighty differently.

Yea one beat up skinny cruiserweights in the 70s and the other fought a bunch of more or less legit 220-275 lbs heavyweights.

Enough with these "Foreman has superhuman power" non-sense.

Foreman looked like he had tremendous power against a midget like Frazier or chinny former LHW Michael Moorer. Put Foreman in the ring with modern day heavyweights like Bowe, Lennox or Wlad and his KO power will quickly drop to about average.
