Please make a valid argument that shows that they, indeed, are the best latin nation in pro boxing. Not just currently, but historically. ****, even currently. Even Argentina is still ahead by a mile.

I give props where props are due. And **** potential, in life, we dont get **** by posting "potential" on the experience section of a resume.

Maybe in a few years, but for now, the crown is being disputed by mexico and puerto rico.

Ps, I am fully aware of their political situation that prevents them from going pro. That is besides the point

**** off you envious troll . We are the best and will continue to be the best . ¿ Do you want a better argument that a country where pro boxing has been baned for more than half a century and we still dominate the pros ? , we don't cherrypick like 98% of today's so called elite , we fight anybody but nobody wants to fight us ( please don't give me that bull**** about not having fans , low reward high risk , etc ) , it's called fear , that's it . Peace .

You couldn't make the argument in the pro game, but you certainly could in the Amateurs and Olympics. Though historically they're quite accomplished in the pro game as well. Kid Gavilan ranks up there with some of the best welterweight and Latino fighters ever.

Gavilan is the man credited with inventing the bolo punch. He said the punch, which was half hook and half uppercut, was developed by years spent cutting sugar cane with a machete in his native Cuba.

Napoles is even more revered historically as a welterweight.

See this is the kind of stupid argument I was refering to. You guys still dominate the pros? What kind of ridiculous **** is that?

Its not envy, its called being a boxing fan. It gets ****ing annoying to see this kind of mentality in the sport. just like it gets ****ing annoying to hear about how great canelo is when he has not proven ****!

Gamboa had a chance to make a statement, but guess what? He didnt. Rigo has not faced top comp. Now lara, yeah that man got robbed against paul williams. Who else? Is that it?

    Wow, what an incredible domination.

Dont get me twisted, I hate hype and unwarranted praise period. Not just cubans, nothing against them. Fact is that they are not dominating pro boxing. Money, pacquiao, martinez and marques are not cuban

It's nationalistic pride. Nothing more, nothing less. Serbians are the best football players according to my family lol. How did we do in the last few world cups? Bounced out of the first round. Let the Cubans have their moment. Congrats!

Umm no you're not. Mexico and the U.S. have more world titles than anyone currently and all time, both are undisputed one and two, by a mile actually.

So **** off. Those are facts.

Well all i will say is there are a fair few really great Amateurs that never got the chance to defect.

Mario Kindelan (Lightweight) Beat Amir Khan to win Gold in 2004
Amateur record is a whooping (358 wins - 22 loses)

Teofilo Stevenson (Heavyweight) Won 3 Gold Medals and could have won a 4th but Cuba boycotted the 84 Olympics. Record (310 wins 20 loses) but his career started slow and he was 6-14 then after that only lost 6 times.

Angel Herrera Vera (Lightweight) Beat Pernel Whitaker with ease as a Amateur on the way to Gold medal Only fought 6 years as a Am and retired.

Ariel Hernandez (Light Heavyweight) Won two Olympic Golds and 2 World Golds and beat Chris Byrd and Sven Ottke His Prime as a Pro would have been around the time Jones Jr was a Prime 175.

Now ive seen that not all great Amateurs turn out as good Pro's but i believe these guys I named would have been.
