I'm with you here. Hopkins isn't going to give Dawson an easy target. In fact you could argue that Dawson was much more frustrated than Hopkins was rushed in the last fight (people love to exaggerate the "blistering pace" with which Dawson came to fight.) He's going to turn him, then walk him into shots once he's in position, and ambush him on the inside. My prediction is that the first 4 will be close, and Hopkins will win 5 or 6 of the remaining 8.

I really think Chad has nothing if you neutralise that jab and close the distance.
And despite the presence of Ward nowadays,Bernard's still a great neutraliser.

He is a boring fighter and all he does now is fight like John Ruiz he throws one punch then holds, grabs, wrestles, clinches or fakes a low blow. Tired of his boring fights.

If I was really good, she would just do it with a plank.Naughtiness ensured a metal utensil.:yep
She got me a dog once, then took it away two months later.
I learned from that and now I let my kids keep their pressies for at least three months before I punt them for crack.:bart
    Bernard can do it.:bbb

SJ, I agree with you 100%.

The kiddies on ESB are gonna' hate, despite the clear facts. Nothing you can do but laugh at them.

I thought Bhop was in control of the first fight. As you say, taking his time & studying Dawson. That's what he does. He studies for a few rounds, giving away points but figuring out where the openings are. Then he comes on strong in the middle rounds. The poor kiddies on ESB just can't understand such "complicated" tactics.

And this time, yes, it's do-or-die. You KNOW Bernard wants to win this & then retire, so he must be in the shape of his life.

It's gonna' be a GREAT fight. I wouldn't put money on either fighter, but I'm totally rooting for the old man!

Dawson is definitely the safe pick...name any advantage you can come up with and it's Dawson's. Might be totally wrong (wouldn't be the first time haha) but I think Hopkins will keep his pivots tighter and look to get off short punches in a closer range...Attempting to negate some of that speed and length of Dawson and try to lead Dawson into shots. I think this will slow the pace of the fight down. Dawson will need to apply pressure, because if he doesn't Hopkins will really like the slower pace...Also I'm not sure if Dawson maintains his focus for all 12 rounds. Hopkins is very slick and hard to fight...Hopkins has seen the best Dawson can do...Hopkins UD.
Addendum: Cheers Bogotazo...wasn't trying to copy! I agree! Just saw your take.
