Suppose Cotto did so well that he lost by SD to Floyd. Instead of going down in ATG ranking, would losing by SD actually help him go up?

Well to move up or down in any ATG rankings one would have to be an ATG.

It just shows what I have been saying for a long time - Gayweather is way overrated.

He would probably go from 562 on ATG rankings to 560 or some **** like that.

He'd rise in ATG ranking if he is winning the fight 4 rounds to 2 but gets stopped on cuts

He is good, but I don't think Cotto is in the ATG ranking to rise. He still lost in his prime to Margarito. If Margarito can beat him, what would many of the Welt greats do if they fought him? There are probably 30-50 Welterweight champions from the past who could beat him.

Not as terrible as a 69 year old Alaskan caveman living on welfare spending his limited time on this planet arguing on ESB.

    he's not an atg

it would help his legacy if he genuinely managed to perform that well. what I mean by this is if he can actually make it a close fight. none of that ODLH bull**** with one paid off judge then a bunch of dumb ****s spamming the boards about a "close" fight

Get over it leon, besides, it was a **** fight...that performance was nothing to be proud of.

Miguel aint worried about no ATG list, If anything he would solidify his rank among PR's ATG's and that is more than enough.

I doubt a SD would help Cotto in the ATG category, and I like Cotto. Now a win on the other hand........:D

When did Cotto start approaching ATG status? Man, this board is getting crazy. His two biggest wins: Judah (low blows) and old Mosley. Margarito is a proven cheat who hasn't beaten anyone good after brick-gate. Who else? If fight is close, chalk him up there with ATG Collazo.
