  1. Well keep waiting jerkoff. 2013 is the end of the Klitschko era.

I can't believe people are still on his bandwagon after seeing him get wobbled, badly hurt and almost KO'd in the 1st round by a feather fisted tomato can.

After watching the fight, kudos to Seth.

I thought HBO described the guy perfectly. Compared to a Klitschko, Seth Mitchell isn't nearly as skilled and probably not as athletic either. He's not particularly fast, and has basic but not superb boxing skills.

What he IS, however, is a helluva bruiser. People make the Derrick Jefferson comparison, which isn't a bad one really. He's a guy who looks to be just naturally tough. He punches hard and does so often. And as they mentioned, it really did look like his football experience actually pulled him through tonight. He came back from that shellacking in the 1st round with pure determination, which any boxing fan would like. It was fun to see.

Like him or not, Seth showed he is an entertaining fighter with a lot of class.

Lastly, you also have to consider that in boxing, ESPECIALLY HW boxing, ANYONE can get caught early.

  4. Do you realize that your hero Wlad was KO'd 3 times? Seth didnt lose this fight you idiot. He got hit a few times because this was what is known as a "boxing match." Just because he was hit you think he sucks? All of the champs get wobbled at one point in a career. If you dont like Seth, too bad. It wont change the fact that he will kill Wlad in 2013.

What worries me, however, is that Seth seems to have no answer for that right hand (at least early)...comon, Seth! Put that ****ing left hand up, at least!

If you thought that tonight's showing showed any positives about Mitchell's Chin, you know nothing about Chins. Nothing.

He showed the defense of a chump.

Heart is not enough against a Klit. Not even against a Helenius or Price.

kinda mean but I agree Seth's defense leaves a lot to be desired, right now. Always has really. He's an offense-first kinda fighter, and if he wants to get to the next level that's gonna have to change.

  11. Really? Seth wasn't knocked down or out. Idiot. He showed that he can take shot on the chin and still win you ****ing dope.

U serious bro? Witherspoon's a bum who would get smoked by either Povetkin or Boytsov. Mitchel is an above average boxer who was nearly koed by a bum in the first round, so u do the math

Mitchel has some nice power, has relatively quick hands for a heavy (not quicker than Povetkins though) and can bring some excitement to the division, but his questionable chin and poor fundamentals will hold him back from ever being a champ.

I seriously think Marco Huck would knock Mitchel out, which should put things in perspective

  13. No he wasn't nearly KO'd. He was nearly dropped. If he was dropped,he would have gotten up. Nearly doesn't matter anyway. Seth won. Case closed.

Of course he won, Witherspoon was a lamb being taken to slaughter, Seth was supposed to murder him

Let me put things in perspective for u, imagine if Wladdy struggled with Mormeck and was wobbled in the first round. The klitschko haters (and u too probably) would be out in full gear talking about what a coward, bum, and weak chinned ***** wladimir was. So why shouldn't Mitchell get criticized for underperforming against an overmatched opponent?

You're a fan of the man, so I understand the position you're speaking from, but you are wrong. His stock went down after this fight as he struggled with someone who has been found wanting more than once.

I wouldn't pick him over any of the fighters you mentioned based on this fight. Povetkin is a technically better fighter who had trouble versus a legitimate world champ. Boytsov has much more power and physical ability than Witherspoon, and could realistically be counted on to land against Mitchell and possibly stop him in the process. Arreola does get hit flush, but his chin is solid, and he has a big punch of his own.

Mitchell showed he was there to be hit and hurt, and that has to be a concern moving forward.
