Is anyone still a fan of Bernard Hopkins?

Still have huge respect for him as a fighter and Dawson as well for following his gameplan. Won't be a fan again until he apologizes to Dawson.

Dirtiest fighter to ever live? Oh please. Zivic? Pedroza? Fullmer?

Hopkins does cheat but take that up with the history of the sport not him as he ain't the only one and very far from the first. Ali holding on the back of the head? Chavez lowblows? Lewis holding back of head and hit&holding? Klitschkos holding back of head and pushing necks down? **** happens take time to do research.

If you want to complain about his actions it was him refusing to acknowledge Dawson's great performance. Too old my ass. He was the best and Dawson beat him despite him looking great for his age. Dawson was just too slick and a step ahead.

 

Here's some of Bhop's cheating, tell me if you think it's comparable to what you listed:

Faking low blows, faking injury, headbutting, coming in with his head, punching on the break, low blowing in the clinch when the ref is on the other side, excessive clinching, leaning down on opponents, tackling opponents.

 

Still not the worse and if you think so do research. Wlad cheats, Floyd cheats on ocassion,etc. **** happens unfortunately its part of the sport. All three still very skilled and great fighters.

 

Sorry but you can't compare Floyd or Wlad to Hop. He's the dirtiest fighter out there and it's not even close.

 

The point I'm making is they do what they have to do.

Still dirty. In these times yeah Hopkins is the worse but do research, Hops far from the worse in history. Dawson still rose through that as it shows cheating doesn't guarantee a win. **** happens. Its part of the sport stop complaining.

Exactly. Every fighter uses something in and/or out of the rules to win. Applies to about every sport really.

He doesn't come to fight though, that's the main difference. He comes to injure (headbutts, low blows, rabbit punches) and get points unjustly deducted by faking injury/low blows/shots to back of head, all while trying to survive by clinching and running away. That's not boxing it's a disgrace. You can justify it all you want but I don't remember any of the guys you listed crying on the ground pretending to be injured/faking low blows in order to get their opponent dq'd or have points taken off.

 

B Hop will always be one of my all time favorites. I don't care what anyone else thinks of him.

 

I lost respect for him with all the acting fake bad ass acting and using his head like a bat. One thing to use gamesmanship another to be dirty as hell.

 

Yo, I'm a true, HUGE fan of B-Hop. B-Hop still can fight at the elite level. B-Hop is a rare boxer to last as long as he did and at his age. Big Ups!!!!

Great Champ but sometimes what he has said and done in the past has irked me.

The worst was what was said to Calzaghe then he got beaten. For me he is what he is a Great athlete but a Bad sport.
