If you go back and watch the fight, by round 6-8 and onwards Nazim was pouring water down Bernard Hopkins' gloves.

    Comments?

BHop and Naz were in jail of course they know all the tricks. But BHop is old as hell and I wouldn't care if he evened the playing field.

For ****s sake Hopkins was unleashing headbutt combos infront of the ref and there's threads being made about water on the gloves

In the gloves, not on the gloves.

Nazim was blatantly pouring water down his gloves, its an observation and obviously its illegal, yet you come on here saying "who cares".

If you have such a dismissive attitude why would you even subscribe to this thread? I don't understand it.

I subscribed to this thread :huh

Down the gloves, on the gloves, in the gloves. Hopkins was doubling up on the headbutt so his wet gloves are hardly a cause for concern illegal or not especially considering the outcome.

how the hell would that help bhop? makes the glove heavier and increases the cushion between fist and contact point.

I'd say it lessens the cushion, as well as making it heavier....

I saw that, found it interesting. Didn't know it was illegal, I'd assume it was to refresh the hands.

No, it makes the gloves heavier giving them more thudding power. But it probably also slows the boxers hand speed down.

It was just a small stream on each arm. The hand sweats tons on its own, and it doesn't add anything to the glove.

It was to harden Bernard's plaster of paris.
