all valid points I must say and I agree your list is a good one. 2 counter arguments I would have. 1. Martinez Vs Barker and Macklin certainly involved the same game plan. Starting off at a comfortable pace and getting his opponent to do most of the work. Then when Sergio stepped it up around the 7th in both fights neither could cope. 2. Gonzalez is a 2 division champ but without big names down at 108 he just won't get the recognition that the higher weights do. It's a shame, but the minimum weight and light flyweight divisions will never be that strong due to the lack of people able to make the weight.

rigo is the second best technician in the world of boxing. wlad is effective, but he is one of the most boring fighters in town and lacks quality compeition in maybe the weakest division from them all. also we talk p4p, which means, what would happen would rigo be 6'8 feet tall and 200 some pounds :D yeah exactly, beat any version of bitchsisters.

Good point. I thought about him turning it up and dominating, which is why I still have him top 6. If somebody wanted to rate him above Ward, I wouldn't take much issue with it.

Unfortunately, that's the truth about Gonzalez and his division. 105-108 is so void of any real world-class talent, that he'll dominate, but not have the names on his ledger to get top 10 P4P recognition. He'll need to climb the scale and beat more recognizable and better fighters to attain that level of recognition.

yeah I agree for the most part with everything you said. I want to wait for Moreno/Mares if that happens next before I put him in there.

and Ward is a better fighter than Sergio, but I still like Sergio's resume a little bit better right now. Their next fights will have a big effect on their positioning. I agree with Donaire too. He hasn't looked spectacular, but he's still fighting good competition (Vazquez was questionable though coming off a loss).

Depending on how things go, Bute could appear on the list soon also

Gonzalez would bludgeon him. Calderon is well past his best. Even in Calderon's prime, I think Gonzalez's technical power punching and intelligent pressure gets to Calderon in the middle/late rounds.

*your opinion that rigo is the second best technician in the world of boxing. Wlad lacks quality of opposition? Rigo has fought 9 people you douche. Most hypocritical post I have ever seen :rofl:patsch

Oh and Donaire would tap Rigo's ass even if it was 3 divisions above what I consider nonitos. best weight class

Swap Pac and Marquez, and that's my list as well. (originally I had Martinez above Ward but on review I probably have Ward above him now)

calderon version today gets TKO'd by gonzales

prime calderon moved very well, also had overrated power and gonzales has underrated power, would be a good fight, but roman is physicly just bigger stronger and he probably would wear him down in later rounds...segura style

okay, you got me on the first, but put opposition aside and rigo simply a much better boxer. sure he hasn't fought the big names already but just believe me when I tell you: I see the future :yep

Heh heh heh. All signs lead to greatness for Rigo but I just feel donaire's just to good for him and will be the road block in his career. We'll have to wait and see for ourselves though ... Unless we have another Pac-mayweather on the cards :-(
