The most impressive thing is that he called it in the build-up interviews. Like a Babe Ruth homer.

Malignaggi usually talks ****, but he doesn't usually predict knockouts. (obviously...)

Here he did. He said he had Senchenko's style perfectly scouted and would be able to slice & dice him and get him out of there.

He was correct.

Apparently he thought it was a sucker's deal and pulled out of the fight, although the story seems complicated. Solomon might be on the shelf for awhile.

I think Senchenko wanted out he seemed to look directly at the ref twice before he stepped in to stop it and didn't protest it at all.
(Bronx) it was pretty clear cut up to that point I had it 7-1 to Paulie and I don't think Senchenko could see out of his eye anymore it was that messed up.

Senchenko had been taking a sustained whipping for several rounds before that. I haven't watched the video in the OP yet and don't know how many close-ups of Senchenko's face it shows, but it was torn up. Cuts, welts, puffing, oozing. Malignaggi was starting to julienne the flesh off his skull.

He had Senchenko backing up, with body language that was begging to quit.

Smoger practically implored the physician to stop it before the 9th round as Senchenko was on his stool having his cut stitched and Vaselined.

Nothing fishy about it.
