No. . . But "per capita", they probably were just as good. . . For most mainstream fans, the "HW" champ is all that really matters, so having such a great, and dominant guy like Lewis was huge. . .

During this current fistic era - per capita, the brits still hold their own. . .

Just too many boxers, in too many weight classes (for America). . . And I'm not patriotic or anything like that, but just keeping it real. . . America had a "monopoly" on boxing up until 5 years ago. . . Now, world class professional fighters are spread out more, and boxing is more of a true "international" sport (amateur boxing has always been, though). Now, you're just as likely to make equal money holding the fight in AMerica, as you are in UK, Germany, Russia, etc.

    NO!

But they probably would top them in a champions/# citizens ratio, like Mexico and Puerto Rico.

It's really a good time now to be a british boxing fan. . .

Plenty of talent over in the UK. . .

Also, what's with the hate between "yanks", and "brits"? I always thought we were supposed to be mates? When I grew up in ****stan (pops was a diplomat at the US embassy) - the british and american families were tight! Got some real good mates I still keep in touch with across the pond. . .

I see a lot of stereotyping of "yanks" from english folk - fat, lazy, entitled, ethnocentric, xenophobic, racist, etc. . . I do understand there are really some americans who play this stereotype out, and in doing so, stereotype english people as posh, bad teeth, etc. . .

We are not enemies; WE'RE MATES!!!

Lewis beat the first three and would've annihilated the fourth.
    Frankie Randall. Meh.
Hamed>Whitaker - fewer losses, never been stopped, more power, more entertaining.
McClellan was literally finished by Benn. Common knowledge that Toney and RJJ Jr ducked Eubank (no s)
    Reggie Johnson = Castro's ***** :deal

Hopkins' n overrated cheater , i didn't forget him , but i don't count him . If I haven't seen Eubanks , Benn & Woods mentioned , i wouldn't have mentioned RJJ either , he only fought has beens well past their prime age & weight and also a few never weres .
Toney got a more difficult matching than Jones had , but even he faced a faded McCallum , drained Michael Nunn , Iran Barkley & Charles Williams and a shot Holyfield , Toney's career is still much more respectable than Jones' 4 those who know d facts .
Benn destroyed a drained Barkley as well and would have been stopped in d 1st rd against McClellan if it wasn't 4 that criminal referee . And those r 2 fights he has listed as wins in his favor .. don't forget about his losses .

Randall beat both Julio Cesar Chavez and Juan Martin Coggi (twice) and later Edwin Rosario as well , don't let all his post mortem career fool u .
Whitaker > Hamed , not a fan of his , but he was a great fighter .
Toney did not duck Eubank , maybe when he was drained and unable 2 make 160 he "did' . Eubanks ducked American fighters and had his circus going only on British soil , he knew Y .
    And u haven't seen Johnson vs Castro 1 & 2 , did u ?
Castro was a great fighter though .
Just c what it took 2 stop him . Prime RJJ would have been killed by some of post prime Castro's opponents .

    No comment on Lewis? :hi:

    Toney ducked Eubank and Benn.

    This is irrefutable.

    You be high.

Eubank and Benn totally owned Toney on satelite interview. I dont think Toney was afraid of them but he was a little worried about losing. You gotta remember that was before he was on steroids and failed numerous drug tests. At that time he was losin to guys like Montell Griffin and Drake thadzi
