Opinions from mates who know nothing about boxing

Sounds about right for Birmingham.

I can't say i've heard anything too crazy just the usual Hatton was **** after Mayweather beat him same thing for Haye after the Wlad fight.

david haye was total **** and harrison was shitter, this part is totally correct, after haye was in the papers / tv/ internet saying how he would go for it, rip his head off, and jump at the chance, then does nothing, and runs away, no wonder the general public think he is a tool , when most boxing fans think he is a *****

 

I don't talk about boxing to people. There's some guys that ask my opinion on stuff but other than that I don't like talking about it. This kid from work updated his facebook before Haye-Wlad saying Haye would win by outjabbing Klit. DA ****!!!??? Can't be bothered with that ****.

 

The only person I can actually talk boxing with is my brother. Talking about it in general to people is woeful as they know shite all about the sport.

 

I remember before the Haye-Valuev fight that lots of my mates were laughing at me because I said Haye would win. They just saw pictures of Valuev and his ring record and immediately came to the conclusion that Haye was doomed, not realising that Valuev had the speed of a sloth and the turning circle of an aircraft carrier.

There was a picture of Miguel Cotto on the front cover of BN and my dad thought it was Wayne McCullough.

Oh, and if I remember correctly there were a lot of my mates on here who thought Hatton would beat Mayweather and/or Pacquiao.

 

I still get annoyed when Martin Adams is called a 'Three Time World Darts Champion'.....

 

Also, I hate mates who say boxing is just two people bashing each other in the face and that there is no skill involved at all. They really get on my tits.

 

Im talking about ridiculous views on any sport, (like the ones in the whole thread) it is annoying.

One thing that does sometimes **** me off if I talk about boxing to people is that a lot of the time, what I say will just get ignored because I don't really look like a fight fan (I'm a skinny **** and have barely been in a fight in my life).

"George Groves, come on then.. when are you gonna fight Amir Khan?"

Friend of mine updated his facebook after mayweather sparked ortiz with 'floyd mayweather just ruined boxing' I shouldn't have got dragged into it but I couldn't leave him off with that
