Personally id have no problem with a nice eay defence at home in that new place that is openiong, therefore my choice would be el massoudi who beat m'baye last time out and is in the top 3 wba rankings, thoughts?

have added a poll with a couple of suggestions.

A Brooklyn-fight with Judah could be nice too.

I'd like to see him beat Zaveck more decisively than Berto did, then fight Zab and then Devon.

true, beating zavek nicely would put him right at the top of the division with the other guys.

Golden Boy Promotions, baby. It won't be against anyone but Devon Alexander. Schaefer won't risk letting that shiny WBA belt go into the hands of anyone but one of his fighters. And whoever emerges as the winner between Malignaggi and Alexander (most likely Alexander), expect him to then be matched against Khan (if he beats Peterson) or Ortiz (if he beats Berto).

Who really cares who Malignaggi fights?, if he fights anyone worth fighting that's a legit champion or contender, he's going to lose. Why are people thinking he's done something great? He fought a guy that that no one has ever heard of. I checked out his record, and find no one that any boxing fan would know. Pathetic! It's so amazing when boxers like Malignaggi find corrupt promoters like GBP and somehow manage to fight for a title when they're not even ranked? Good for Malignaggi for going out of town and winning a bubble gum title belt thanks to a worthless paper champion and a corrupt referee that stopped the fight at the worst time. Boxing needs top fighters fighting each other and not Malignaggi type fighters that have a big mouth, can't punch and is nowhere near an elite fighter. I can think of a thousand fighters who could have beaten that bum champion, and they are much more deserving that Malignaggi. Khan and Cotto already kicked his ass and sent him to the minor leagues, but GBP find a way to get him an undeserving title shot? These types of fake ass championship fights with two fake wannabe boxers is exactly what waters down and ruins boxing.
Maybe Malignaggi can now fight Broner, Escobedo, Maweather, Khan, Cotto, or any other 140-147 legit fighters. No, he would get wiped out, which is my point. The belt he won you can buy at KMART.

We need real fighters and champions.:nono:nono:nono:nono:nono:nono:nono:nono:nono:nono

Oh **** off. Steve Smoger is an excellent ref with a reputation for stopping fights too late, and that stoppage was very good. The champions face was an absolute mess and they were thinking about stopping the fight prior to Smoger stepping in.

Did you even watch the fight? Malignaggi was very impressive. Say what you want about his opponent, but he beat an undefeated world champion in his home town, as an underdog, and put on his best performance to date dominating every round while doing so until getting a stoppage.

If Paulie was so undeserving of the title shot, he wouldn't have thrashed the champion with such ease would he? I think he certainly fights Alexander at some point. Brook must be pissed, he was definitely looking for the title shot against senchenko, who he would have destroyed by yesterdays evidence, but now malignaggi has got it he'll only be fighting big names or easy opponents.

    Alexander, Khan, or Vargas.

I hope to god it's not Khan, that would be an exact replay of the fight last year, wait two years ago.
