It all comes down to the individual, it is foolish to say one country's boxers are better than another country's.

Please answer this question since you are so smart: Are Cubans ( inside the Island ) allowed to become pros? Are Puerto Ricans ( inside the Island ) allowed to become pros?

Your answer will reveal who is right ...

The boricuas have always disliked Cuba even though we are supposed to be like brothers. I think it's because of Cuba's huge success in sports but that's understandable. ;)

Do cubans inside the island decide what type of country and government they want to live with. Do Puerto Ricans make the laws and rules we live by or are they imposed by people from a congress of another country that never even been in the island. Answer me that and you will understand who is really free.

Why do the Cubans on here brag about their Amateur success when it is usually some 30 year old Cuban who has been boxing for almost 20 years beating some 18 year old kid from another country? What is so impressive about that?

The Cubans success in the Pro's where the playing field is level leaves much to be desired and the Chins of most Cuban fighters are awful just look at their supposed Heavyweight savior Odlanier Solis his Chin is downright embarrassing.

    I don't get it either.

And by the way, what sports success are they even talking about?

Olympic boxing ....and...what else? No, really i'm asking, what else.

In my neutral opinion, Puerto Ricans take boxing because they've proven it on the pro level. They've piled up titles and have had a few atg.

Plus they have to deal with Mexican fighters as their big rival, a country that spits out iron chinned fighters left and right. That's a lot of pressure.

How do Cubans decide anything ? Did they have any elections? Do they allow any other political point of view? Why do boxers have to sneak out to defeat instead of choosing going pro?...I don't know, neither I get involve in PR politics,if you want communism there go ahead and start a revolution ,but stay away from Cuba.

u only give Ricans props cuz they almost always lose to mexicans. the Cubans be tappin that ass, thats why there is no rivalry. Abril, Gamboa, Lara, and Rigondeux are gonna be a problem for anyone they fight.

Abril hugs and holds arms all damn day

Gamboa bitched out of a fight with Rios, literally. Dudes already like 31 years old anyway.

Lara is nothing special, just another great middleweight, in a division thats stacked with equal talent.

Rigo has fought a few times, but has looked good. I would give Rigo the thumbs up if he shows up against a great fighter.
