you have a contract offer to fight in montreal canada while living and fighting out of Michigan. the contracts state that you will be accomodated at a hotel for 1 night, your purse will be $1200 for 6 rounds against a former title challenger at an agreed upon weight and date. you will drive yourself or take a bus/taxi to the hotel.

would you sign this fight contract if you were managing yourself?

aswell, when this scenario is completed and everything is said and done how much do you believe that you will have profited for your all of your training aswell as the fight?

Im guessing they want you as the opponent to take a beating by the former champ? What about medical bills?

if you need the cashand are totally confident you can beat the guy, why not? maybe haggle for a little more cash, some more perks, but if you know that you haven't a shot in hell and have title aspirations? hell no

Throw in training expenses, as well as travel and you have a deal. If not then go screw yourself.

the promoter is doing the former title challenger a favor because they worked together in the past. you have 5 fights and your opponent 86 fights but he's at the end of his line. any medical that can be done on sight, like stitches and swelling reduction. anything otherwise will be covered up to $50,000.

you believe that you can win the fight. any medical that can be done on site, like stitches and swelling reduction will be immediately tended to by on site doctors. anything otherwise will be covered up to $50,000.

throw in training expenses, lmfao! thats not the promoters job, your manager should have taken care of that if you even deserve training expenses. you will make your own accomodations to assure your presence on fight night. I'll offer you $1300 for the fight, but that's as high as I'll go.

Eastside, the former champ with 86 fights is probably likely to get the result, too much experience and also boxing for the promoter on his card as the favourite. The fact the 5 fight novice is also self managed makes me think the novice will have a long hard night and is being set up for a beating.

Yup, but I can take the fight locally, use my own gym to train at, stay at a comfort level which is advisable seeing as I'm a 5 fight novice. I'm at ease with the surroundings and haven't got to worry about hostile territory or paying for my own transport.

If you offered me that measly sum to come to Canada and fight you, I'd laugh and put the phone down.

    Good luck to you.

he is now 44 years old, the former TITLE CHALLENGER not former champion. he is from canada and has a very tough reputation. you are a well versed 5 fight prospect with good amatuer experience.

would you sign it and how much do you think you'll have after it's all said and done?

so you'll never fight out of your home town? good luck with that if you don't have a promoter working WITH you.
