do you think hopkins still goes on or calls it quits???
now that he clearly lost to a dawson in a snoozefest does he still have the bargaining chips and drawing power for another fight??
I guess MOST of us boxing fans no longer care about his future fights.

He should have retired after he won the title from pascal, that wouldve been a great ending to his career having beaten the record of foreman as being the oldest man to win a championship and walking away as a winner..............:-(

    I think he'll stick around

As to who he fights, I'm not sure

    Toney?
    Cleverly
    Shumenov

Pride dictates that he will carry on. I have a scary feeling he will hang around till the age of 50 and still be competitive to an extent.

I think he could beat an Arthur Abraham type of fighter even now (weight classes withstanding).

i heard there's interest in Lucian Bute, but hey, if Ward won't face Bute, might as well give him to Hopkins

There's not a chance he retires now. He'll have at least one more fight. I can't see him retiring on the back of that performance against Dawson. The question is, who will he fight? A fight with Lucian Bute sounds interesting, very interesting.

Hopkins will call out Dawson to fight him again. He will keep complaining that he got robbed and the rematch needs to be made. He's gonna do the same thing as he did after he got beaten by Calzaghe and got a draw with Pascal in the first fight.

Please God retire Bernard. No one wants to see an old man head but and hold for 12 rounds. HBO need to put some exciting young fighters on, get rid of this old man and his awful fights. He's had a great career, and the win over Pascal was a fantastic chapter, but at this point he's bad for the sport.

Cleverly - a very winnable fight to get another title

Bute - I could see HBO getting Dawson/Ward and then Showtime bidding for this to fulfill Bute's third fight on their contract.

I would say Shumenov is an option due to his holding a belt, but I honestly think his style would be all wrong for Hopkins. I think Hopkins would land on Shumenov and land well, but not enough to stop the near iron chinned Khazak, and Shumenov's volume would not be good on 47+ year old Hopkins.

**** no ! He is great. When i tell my friends (they are not boxing fans) about Hopkins then they cant believe it. They want to hear more.
A 47 year old man who has been boxing for over 20 years and is still fighting at the highest possible level... That is inspirational.

Canucks beat me to it.He should take down that paper champion Cleverly.
Bute's not a big enough name yet,but if he puts on a brave display when Froch defeats him,it might give him some good exposure.

There is much more chance of BHop v Cleverly now that BHop lost. Do you really think Cleverly was in the equation if he won?
