im so tired of these comparisons...when will people learn its not who you beat but also when you beat them

Cotto-was beaten after a shellacking at a catchweight

DLH-beaten after a loss to Mayweather at his natural weight at 154 and moved down to 147 with IV's having fought their in almost a decade

Hatton-broken down by Mayweather and didnt look particularly good afterwards and starched by Manny

Mosley-dominated by Mayweather and fought a draw with Mora, then Manny fights him after not winning a fight after 2 years

Marquez-though he was old and i honestly scored the fight a draw a few times and 2-3 point swing for Marquez for landing the cleaner more effective shots, IMO no way Manny won that fight

Clottey-coming off a lose to Cotto, and Clottey wasnt ever elite anyway

notice a pattern....he never fights guys after they looked good past 130

Props to his match maker....It isn't like anyone outside of Marquez gives him any trouble at all, even at their best.

    Ridiculous.

If you're gonna be that stringent when picking the holes of a fighter's resume, then no one's record in this sport will be good enough.

lets be real here Many has been fighting at welteweight since 2008

So he couldnt have fought Mosley beating Mayorga or Margarito

Margarito beat Cotto in 08 what was the problem then? he looked to big and was coming off a big win

Why couldnt he have fought Cotto after beating Mosley

he has to beat people after taking a big loss

Im an idiot but these are facts

when Manny fought him, he fought him at a catchweight for his own belt after being beaten to a pulp by Margo and not looking good after getting by Clottey

At least Mayweather is facing the guy at his own weight, no catchweight for his title, and after good wins

    you are the idiot:deal

:huh Are you seriously suggesting Manny should have fought Margarito after just having his first fight at 135 against David Diaz? Please tell me you're joking. You must be. Surely.

Face the truth...since passing 130 and struggling with Marquez he has been bleesed with great matchmaking...soon as he faces someone who isnt a plodder he struggles or dont look good....Mosley is 39 years old and he couldnt cut off the ring, even looked flustered but Roach gave him all those so -called improvements,,,what improved was strategic matchmaking to accomadate his style:deal

Don't be silly. It's who you beat first and foremost but there is relevance to "when" you beat a fighter. A fighter who is coming off a loss can be damaged or better coming off a rebound. The thing about your post is you're wrong with regards to your main point.

Cotto, DLH and Hatton were not coming off a loss....matter of Fact, Josh was the only fighter since EM who PAC had faced who came off a loss. Floyd has faced fighters coming off of losses... ALL FIGHTERS have faced fighters who have come off of losses at least one time in their careers so I'm sorry if I'm shooting holes all through your argument.....but it was like swizz cheeze even before I came in with my guns blazin.

he is an all-time p4p great right?? Duran moved up two divsions to beat a better fighter in Leonard...Mosley Moved up two divisions to beat a prime DLH.. the list goes on...Margarito wasnt no ATG just a top guy at the weight at the time...did he not move up to fight DLH at 147 making him weight drain right after Diaz....

hatton came off a victory over paulie malanagi in a fight where many people predicted malanagi was going to outbox him and keep him on the end of that jab. cotto came off a win over joshua clottey who is very underated and gave cotto all he could handle.
