because Broner is "cherrypicking" soft fights.

Orlando Salido has called out Broner many times, and Broner ducks him.

When it's all said and done... This is what many people have against Haymon. Seriously, he hasn't done anything close to approaching what Arum is doing all the time...

I don't think he's terrible for boxing at all. He's just not doing anything worthwhile but getting his clients paid well and on TV. I do think it's **** how he keeps his guys, in the same division, from facing one another.

Haymon is just contributing to the demise of boxing as a mainstream sport, as most promoters are. It's all about the business side, rather then the sport now. Why do you think so many idiots on this site talk about money and PPV's.

He also hasn't done ANYTHING for the sport that's been done already.

I like what he does for his fighters financially, but I don't like they he wont let them face one another (when in the same division).

That post above is basically why Haymon is bad for boxing. Broner having a "showcase" fight is one of the reasons of what's wrong with boxing.

Broner has already been showcased on HBO 4 times. Fighting Sykes is really just a disgrace. He needs to be fighting fighters with a pulse. Eloy Perez was a step in the right direction, but this fight is about 500 giant steps back.

"ALOT" of people won't be watching Peterson-Khan. It's on regular HBO and will get the typical 1 million give or take. It'd be real lucky to get 1.5 which has only been done, maybe, a couple of times. Which, basically to my point, people that are going to watch Peterson-Khan already know who Broner is. Having him fight Sykes isn't showcasing him to anybody. It's not as if he's fighting on NBC and there is a broad audience watching him.

So, yeah, from a boxing fan's point of view, he's horrible. He's looking out for his beat interest just like any promoter, manager, etc. But that's what makes him the best at what he does. He looks out for his interests, and he makes a profit from it. Unless he starts feeling it in the pocket, he'll change and the market would change. But as long as it doesn't change, why should he or anybody else that does this change?

Gary Buckland. Already KOed Sykes AND decisioned him.

Why does Broner have to fight someone from the UK anyway?
