Anyone who is fooled by Freddie Roach's catchweight bull**** is an idiot. Has anyone noticed Erik Morales's weight in the 3 Pacquiao fights? In the first fight, Erik weighed 130. Then Morales moved up in weight to fight Zahir Raheem.

Then Erik was lured into a lucrative rematch with Pacman, but the catch was that the fight would be back down at 130, which was Pacquiao's optimal weight for that time, but which Morales could no longer make. So Erik drained himself for the two Pacquiao rematches, lost both (by KO!), and then moved back up in weight.

Erik never again fought at 130, and was never again knocked out. Morales has since then called Pacquiao out to fight him at 140 or 147, but Freddie Roach knows better than to fight an elite opponent on even terms.

See Pacman's fights with Cotto and De La Hoya (the two best names on his resume), and you'll see two completely weight-drained fighters. Freddie Roach is a shrewd man who knows how to make money.

Replace Freddie roach with Bob Arum & your post makes some sense.

It's really hard to know who the real trickster is between Roach and Arum. Probably both.

Fact ... when everything was pretty even pac got his ass handed to him... but then had to drain morales and offer him $$$ to do it for that catch weight advantage ....

Look at Morales he was ticking ghost walking... was doing well in the rematch until his body failed him... if it was at 135 pac woukd have gotten raped again..but whatever's he aint Called the catch weight king for no reason.

Morales looked pretty bad in this fight....everyone knew he was struggling even to get down to 135 or lower dude was always tall at 122-126....like 5'8" his metabolism slowed down and he was naturally bigger than where he fought....people forget that he won the first fight pretty easy was exciting tho...we all know Morales wasnt at his best in those last two fights hell he looked bad against Raheem at lightweight

Don't like to make it sound like I'm taking something away from a fighter but most of Pacquiaos biggest wins (certainly since he joined Roach) the opponent has some question mark over their weight or their condition

Well, just to put something into perspective, doesn't any of you remember that when the Pacquiao-Morales trilogy was happening, Erik was within the Top Rank umbrella and Pacquiao was going up against them?

That beats a lot of sense to the argument that Arum is protecting Pacquiao Another thing, when Marquez and Pacquiao met the first time, Marquez was also the Top Rank fighter and Pacquiao was with Murad Muhammad and the single mistake of one judge cost Pacquiao the decision.

If you really believe that Arum will not giave any concern of the fighters outside his promotion then Pacquiao certainly didn't get any help during thos period in question.
