At least not anytime soon, if Schaefer is to be believed.

Promoter of American heavyweight Seth Mitchell (25-0-1, 19 KOs) Richard Schaefer believes that Mitchell is still too early to go into battle with one of the Klitschko brothers.

"I do not think we need to go after the fight with Klitschko, it would be wrong - Schafer said in a comment Ring TV, - Our plan is for Seth to gain experience and became better as a boxer. We want to make Mitchell world champion, not to make money on the fight with Klitschko. " Promoter Mitchell: "It is wrong to chase for the fight with Klitschko ".

Good, He might be flawed but he might be the best thing to happen to the Heavyweight division in years. Let him fight for the title when he's ready.

    :good
It would be a bad career move if he did and he would be "just another K2 victim".
    So right choice.

Good decision if true, let Seth bang it out with some contenders so he can gain some experience.

But I thought this was the worst era of all time, why can this great American not beat one of the belt holders then?

    4 more fights.

Vitali should be retired by the time Seth is ready for a title shot.

BD, is this from after the Witherspoon fight? Volo seemed pretty keen on a possible match-up in the last interview I saw him in, before the fight. I think Arreola would be the better choice, regardless, but I'm curious.

I like Mitchell - he's an exciting, but vulnerable, fighter and all - but he's not very good. I wouldn't have him anywhere near the Klitschkos for as long as possible.

Good I would like to see Mitchell with abit more speed then he would be killer. To slow footwork and handspeed as of now.

I saw the Witherspoon fight, Seth looked like a heavily sedated version of Mike Tyson. No hand or foot speed and alarmingly easy to hit. I doubt he'll ever make it.:patsch

I agree and also, the only reason why Seth won is because Witherspoon just completely abandoned his game plan from round two onto his demise! :-(
