LOL stop with the propaganda and lies the US has a worst track record with human rights violations but people call it freedom. Fidel Castro is not even involved in politics anymore and if you think that Cuba is the way it is because of two old guys then you are dumber than i thought. Cuba has maintained their socialist government this long because it has the backing of the people if not it wouldve crashed down long ago. You think the US and the cuban american worms in miami havent tried all they could to over throw it. You need the backing of the people to be able to maintain that type of government for this long with all the US interventions.

Cuban boxers and baseball players are not allowed to be pros by the US not by the cuban government. Like ive said other sports do it in europe but boxing and baseball is controlled by the US. I've been to cuba many times they are happier and better of than most of latin america.

    :hat

And Jesus said to them, " By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire ".

I'm not even a Rios fan. Laughing at Abril and his lack of skill doesn't equal being a Rios fan.
And I have nothing but love for the Cuban people, its a damn shame they have to live in such poverty because its an incompetent nation. I feel bad that they're barely living better than the haitians. May that black nation prosper soon!

That's great that you have gone to Cuba I hope for one day to check out the Island myself. :thumbsup
You say Cubans are happy, maybe so, but it's probably because they don't know of another lifestyle or system and are used to that. The governmant provides them with what they ( the government ) feel is sufficient and control every aspect of their lives. Or have I bought into the propoganda?
A good Cuban friend told me that if people do not own property ( which is very hard to do ) they can not even get a fishing licence. This is just one example of how strict the government is. What about freedom of speech, don't tell me one can express themselves in the same manner as we do in the US of A.

Incompetant due to their leadership, who is/are White, but color has nothing to do with it. It's the system.

It's because of multiple reasons. Fact is that Cuba is stricken with poverty. Cuba, the Dominican republic and Haiti are black nations that need to persevere and survive. These third world nations need to rise from poverty once and for all.

I'm right here rooting for them.

Same could be said about most Latin nations, it's their corrupt governments that take all the money and give their people scraps. For example when Salinas De Gortari left the presidency in Mexico he took all the money in the countries reserve and fled to Europe. Mexico's economy plummeted and many desperate people resorted to join cartels. I have many family members that have been victimized in one way or another by the violence form these cartels. But that's a whole other topic for another forum.

Look my friend, I know you might not like the Cuban fighting style, but I'm glad it's their to bring another dimension to the sport. It will push others like Mexicans, Pinoys, Boricuas, Brits to train harder and develope better strategies to overcome it making them better fighter. :good

Why do you get so offended at the mere thought of Cuba being perceived as a black nation?

My roommate was Cuban back in the day and she told me the nation is becoming more and more black. She had a racist grandma who refused to go back (she would go once a year) because she couldn't bare to see what the face of the nation was becoming. True story, I swear on my life.

    65% white? The u.s. isn't even 65 % white anymore.
