No, frank's being airing these views too long and too consistently. He isn't a troll, he's just quite unique in his observations. 100% h2h based criteria. Huge emphasis on knockdowns, knockouts and not getting stopped, massive credit for a man beating an opponent who is younger and bigger. So for example, a prime ross purrity who was 240 solid muscle, couldn't be knocked out, and stopped every other man he fought, is about as good as it gets in the world of frank.
Weird.. cause Pea was great in his h2h battles with world class fighters.... and never got KO'd or stopped in his prime... Didn't get many KO's himself.. but it seems like Pea fits his criteria.. especially h2h... I just can't honestly believe he said Ramirez won No. 2... Good God Man
The not many ko's is the key. Fighting on the back foot will give no better than a draw in his world.
all true until d below came Puritty could b stopped and KDd as was exampled by Cleveland Woods and later KDd as was exampled by Kirk Johnson , not that solid but solid 240 , but deserves a top 20 h2h ranking at heavyweight and most clearly a top 30 at least .
I can make a case 4 Reggie Johnson deserving d decision over squashed dry James Toney , but he did show that he could b aggressive when it was really asked 4 and score a good KD .
His stoppage losses were on cuts though and he never seemed hurt despite being handily outboxed a few times. Still, your top 20 placing pretty much underlines what I was saying as most wouldn't put him in their top 200 or so.
he was decisively stopped by Cleveland Woods , multiple KDs . D rest of his stoppage losses were on cuts really so i don't count them as such . And Woods didn't stop Puritty in Puritty's prime really , but Johnson beat him near his prime and it included a KD or 2 . Ranking Puritty below top 30 is unbearable . Top 20 is where he belongs .
