    I beg your pardon?!
    Sticking to boxing:

Actually it was his trainer who explained what happened, after the second Andrade fight. It is also worthy reading what Larouche said meanwhile.

From that night we learned that a Bute with anemia can't stand dominant for 12 rounds against a resistant fighter. The information is really of little worth since it's very unlikely he'll ever get again in the ring for a professional fight in such a poor physical condition.

look again.Berrio lost his first fight with Stieglitz for an IBF title elimination, but then they meet again for Calzaghe's vacant title and Berrio won via tko.

Difficult to pick the winner - I think...

How will Froch deal with Bute's southpaw style, and good infight. Froch is very strong, can take a punch, and will keep on hitting you - a lot of times on the side or behind the head, and is strong enough to hold and push Bute around......and will the ref aloud this...............??

Bute will be in a war.......................

...and because butards like to make comparasions answer me this:
-how many smw champs has Froch beaten?
-how many smw champs has Pascal beaten?
at least Berrio has won his title from someone who become a champ himself.next time when you make silly arguments with silly emoticons check your facts:deal

Bute's one of my favorite fighters and I'm not a Ward fan at all, I don't like watching him and I don't find him interesting as personality either... but no way in hell is Bute #1 at Super Middle. Ward earned his ranking and would have to be slightlyfavoured over Bute....I think it's a close to 50-50 fight but at this point Ward ranks higher

As far as you're concerned with rankings, you're most probably right: Ward is and should be ranked #1 for what he achieved. The thread is still not about the rankings but about subjective opinions of how high should one rate Bute's boxing skills with respect to other SMW fighters. At present there is no objective measure of his comparative skills (such as a statistical lot of several top opponents fights outcomes), so one tries to make some educated guesses based on the skills he displayed in his currently available top fights.
From my point of view, this thread is highly premature right now since there is too much unknown involved, and it should get boosted only if Bute were to win against Froch.

Yep, sounds like it, but he said that in the interview that happenned like 5 minutes after the ending. I guess he thought that if Andrade didn't wait in the center of the ring (thus making the ref stop his count), there might still be enough time for him to knock Bute out. It's pretty legitimate to think this when you don't yet have access to a replay with a good angle showing that, regardless if the count was long or not, Bute was up after 8 seconds.

We could also make a case that Andrade often hit after the break, push the ref while he was trying to separate the 2 boxers, etc. Seriously, it's really no big deal. By example, Dawson did that in his fight with Pascal, Hopkins did that in his fight against Dawson (or maybe was it Dawson who did it to Hopkins? Not sure..) and they never had any warnings about this. That's the kind of stuff that happens often in a fight.

Haha that was too easy, then we could say Bute beat at least 4 champions and Pascal beat 3 world champions.
