    Merchant said something interesting :

Perhaps one issue is he presents himself as the villain before the fight, and then wants everyone to turn on a dime and adore him immediately after.

And the ultimate question: Could you have really kicked Floyd's [rear] when you were 50 years younger?

"If I snuck up behind him and he wasn't looking, yeah, I probably could've kicked his [rear]. Otherwise, I have my doubts."

Like Larry, says it brings something to look forward to after the fight. I was always hoping Mayweather-Merchant could turn into something great like what Ali-Cossell had. Cossell like Merchant seemed to be a critic, but Ali won him over. It's up to Floyd if he wants to win Merchant over because once you win the critics over, you finally reached the pinnacle of your career. No one can can truly question your greatness once you won the critics over on your side.

Don't Know **** About Boxing. While a lot of people on this site use the line, (usually when someone else is wrong about a boxing prediction or such) Floyd fans particularly love it because Roger Mayweather said it a few times and he is the be all and end all of boxing.

Good interview by Larry, and I agree with a lot of his points. Floyd is a prima donna who desperately wants attention but lashes out against anyone who doesn't give the right sort of attention he wants at that moment. Floyd builds up his villain/bad boy persona, gets too into it, then doesn't have the ability to take the negative attention that is part of the package in playing the villain/bad boy.

I also agree with his statements regarding Cotto, the Pac-Bradley fight having more potential for an upset, (although I think there's a chance the fight may become a stinker if Bradley leads with his head and spoils) and that we'll probably never see a Pac-Mayweather fight.

Also got a chuckle out of his last comment, where he admits that 50 years younger or not, he wouldn't be kicking Floyd's ass. This business has a lot of macho bull****, it's always nice when someone is actually honest, cuts the crap, and can allow a little self-deprecation.

Oh, and by the way, HBO is absolutely right to keep Merchant in there. They're the network who shows off Floyd as one of several stars, they shouldn't bow to his whims and then have to bow to the whim of every other star who makes demands of them.

There's really not a single thing Larry said that could **** off anyone in that interview.

Fact: if you had a negative reaction to this interview (like PrinceN), you're a bitter nuthugger, and men don't hold grudges (unless ***** or death is involved). Grow a ****ing sack and get over it, woman.

Good questions and answers. I enjoyed the interview.

Larry made some really good points one being " But Mayweather has been so prudent in picking his opponents after defeating [Oscar] De La Hoya [in 2007], there's a built-in sense that 'If he agreed to fight Cotto, he must be 1,000% sure he's going to win."

I'm going to read some more of this guys Q+A's with other boxers.

    Good stuff.

I said "if you had a negative reaction to the interview," which includes "it sucked." You were just an example, though. There will be worse haters.
