Edis Tatli, Niko Jokinen and Haapoja are decent. For the European stage at least.

Halme is often misunderstood badly. Oh man I would have so much to tell about him but in finnish language.

He featured himself in so many things.. When he was younger he was Fishmonger, gatekeeper, stuntman, worked as a radio etc etc.. He was also bodybuilder.

Then at USA he had short career as a Actor like example Die Hard. was Show wrestler Ludvig Borga like consu said. then started Pro boxing just for fun and haviing some ultimate experiences WITH ZERO Boxing backround.

He also tried UFC and lost in his debut fight to Randy Counture in first round by submission.

Back in Finland he became a Politician and was selected at Finnish parliament:shock::rofl

Once he said in RAdio interview that our President was a Lesbian.:rofl

Man so much for such a Short life...

Nope. Halme was pretty charmful person and really, he was a very sharp speaker . No way he was crazy or stupid.

Yeah, him as well. was thinking about him too, but only wanted to name current fighters. But yeah, he is the reason for the Finnish boom.

I remember watching video of Jyri Kjall knocking out Christian Bladt. Why did Kjall end his carreer only a few fights later?

Piispanen too. Kim Poulsen wanted to fight him, until he lost to Oi. What about that Myllyla guy? He had a draw with Piispanen, but I never watched him. Seems to have injury troubles.

And had a music career! ''You gotta live your life'' lyrics comes to my mind and Halme really did that, anyone can't argue with that!

As you said Amin was a guy to wake up finnish boxing. It was whole different thing when Kjall was fighting. I think the main reason was promotional issues. He started his career in united states under Angelo Dundee but never had a break through moment and ended up back to Finland and there(here) was hardly any promotional team to help him to go forward with his career. He was talented but his timing here in Finland was just so bad because of state of finnish boxing..He is still the last Finnish boxer to win medal in olympics.

Oh I see. Unlucky guy. One would think winning the IBF I/C title against Bladt would have given at least one more big fight.

1992 was incidentally also the last time a Danish boxer won an olympic medal (Brian Nielsen) :hat We also had two other participants that year. One of them future European Flyweight Champion and current WBA supervisor Jesper D. Jensen.

Actually, the last Danish boxer who participated in the Olympics was Hassan Al in 1996.

Myllyla is decent but someway he's still a questionmark for me. He has potential and now it seems that he is finally healthy. Interesting to see what happens. For a long time he was a fighting in a small promotional team (SteelRing nowdays Boxing Finlandia) and that was a frustrating time for him for sure. Now finally P3 boxing was able to get him and that's the only way to go forward with your career here in Finland so that's a good thing for Jaakko. And In my opinion he won the fight against Piispanen and many other thinks the same..
