yes. but hes no where near the level of top rank or GBP or how he was back in the day. his stable is full of mostly average joes that get gift decisions.
I think he was promoting Juan Manuel Lopez. I know he was promoting a recent tv fight and I think is was Lopez-Salido
He promoted the guy who lost to Rigo in his last fight, his name i cant remember, Ricardo Ramos or somethin.
Hes rich and enjoying his years of life. Ever since his wife died I feel he has not giving a **** about boxing though.
Don King had his power in the marquee division, HW. When the K2 came to power, and DK tried to weasel in with his 3-4 fight options to get Valuev or Ruiz, etc...the K2 held their ground and refused unless promotion were on equal ground and without option. Valuev said as much as the reason he was not allowed to fight a Klitschko is b/c DKP could not get a 2-3-4 fight option on thier next bouts. In other words.....If either K2 beat Ruiz or Valuev, then DK would control the promotions on 3 or more of thier next fights. Well, win or lose anyway, and Vitali was strongly against the idea of allowing King into anything in terms of progression on their side. Have never heard Wlad saying anything about it. But with the marquee HW's he's worth as much as tits on a bull.:deal
It was Cloud. I remember thinking after Cloud received a controversial decision that he could thank Don King
