If he is successful at his 154 bid against Miguel Cotto, and stays at the weight for a few fights?

Either he vacates the title or face the mandatory challenger, and I mean mandatory challenger even without the PPV he's craving for. He can maintain the two belts, but will he fight Pacman for the Ring title?

Oscar should set it up so that the Super Fight is for the Ring Title, that would be Epic.

A recent precedent was set by The Ring when they kept Pacquiao as the JWW champ despite fighting 2 out of 3 fights at WW and having had his 3rd WW fight signed. They kept him the JWW champ until they sent him a nice, cute letter asking him if they could remove him from their rankings. So, according to The Ring and those who shared that sentiment, he would remain ranked at WW for quite some time.

I suppose I no longer would rate him at 147, or perhaps at both for an interim amount of time. It might depend on what he announced or signed to show his intent for the future. It just goes to show how rankings and lineages can be deceiving. If he were removed and were to fight Pac at WW next, the winner would not be The Ring lineal champ according to the history books, but certainly would be in reality.

Who do you think can beat him at 147 or 154? Nobody. Of course he's the champ. Don't need 17 alphabet organisation champion belts to prove it.

One year to defend it is what many often affords the champ. So he has until September to keep it.
