Is there a fighter that just throws straight punches (no hooks, etc.)

    Is there a fighter who just throws straight punches and never uses hooks, uppercuts, yet is still very effective?
    Can anyone direct me to some fights with this very basic style of just straight punches?

    Khan rarely throws hooks. He is a fighter from the past cos after May 19th he's gonna have 3 losses.

    Pavlik was never big on hooks.

    Just that 1-2, while his trainer screamed for him to double the ****ing jab

    yup, although he did throw some sweet left hooks, and hook-2's against jaco in his last fight.

    Winky threw mostly straight shots, his main weapons were his jab and left cross. Even when a fighter was in close he would often resort to jabbing them instead of hooking.
    However, you can show shots of any fighter throwing hooks... its part of the sport.

    I didn't see his last fight but from what i've seen from the Macklin, Murray and De La Hoya fights Sturm very rarely throws any hooks.

    Wlad does have one of the most devastating left hooks. . One of the main reasons (especially as of late) is becayse he barely throws it. . . I've been studting Wladimir carefully, and he throws the jab, straight right, left hook at about a 30:7:1 ratio. . .
