I like pedro diaz....he seemed to have brought a new found confidence into the cotto camp, which is something i think he really needed. a my way or the hi way type of training method as well. something i also think cotto needed.

Let them hype the fight. They are confident and so they should be.

    Obviously not serious.

Cotto's just been the same as usual. Seems confident enough to me.

Cotto has never been one to talk, never has. The most i have ever heard him trash talk was against margo, and still was very mild at it.

Someone forgot to tell Diaz he's supposed to be crying in defeat already.

That quote says, to me, that team Cotto's going for a late TKO.

He's probably saying they'll lose the early rounds because of being outpointed through superior pure boxing by Mayweather, but they won't mind as long they keep hurting him, softening him up and breaking him down bit by bit.

Then go for the kill, late.

I'm not sure they can actually accomplish it, but that's just how I interpreted the trainer's quote.

Actually its not a bad gameplan if you think about it. If Cotto starts early and even gained an early lead Floyd is a late starter anyways. Cotto has the stamina problems he would benefit so he wouldnt gas out and typically hes a late starter too. Ortiz opted to outbox Floyd first 3 rounds had little success, but had better success once he cornered Floyd against the ropes, but then ruined everything with the headbutt. By letting Floyd take the first rounds could be Cotto might try to let Floyd take the initiative, come firward, and be the agressor. So the first 3-4 rounds might be boring as ****, but it might be a superb strategy to get Floyd to fight out his comforr zone and be more offensive than defensive. If Cotto could use the same quick foot movement and angles he used against Mosley and mostly concentrate on Floyds body he can still give Floyd a tough fight. I do think Miguel has slowed down and his power is not the same. Not so sure if Cotto really is stronger than Floyd either. If they get in close quarters or tied up one overpowering the other may have a mental effect and Floyd we know is already the mentally stronger and more focused.
