I respectfully disagree, the abuse will most likely come at a distance. Why in world would Floyd want to smother his own shots and allow cotto to operate with his shorter arms. Even if your banking on Floyd's superior speed it's not a stark enough difference in that department when executing your offense in close quarters. Hatton and cotto both deliver wicked body shots but the difference is the approach hatton jumped in and out with high engery attacks to the body there was little set up involved. Cottos body attack has more tact and is mixed in with the occasional head focus less predictable, cotto will also floyd to play the aggressor at points in the fight hatton never took a step back mostly because he dosent know how to, hatton attack also went in straight lines following Floyd but not truly cutting off the ring when he did pivot and release a left hook to the body... cotto can cut off the while on his way in.

Cotto will be hitting Floyds right arm though, moreso than any ribs.

If Miguel can actually execute an effective body attack will define the fight. I just hope that Miguel does not resort to his energy wasting running.

    This...^

We'll see some very sneaky and good inside fighting by Mayweather that will nullify Cotto's body attack. Later in the fight cotto will be tired and worn down and Mayweather will get a stoppage win in the 11th...

I don't think PBF will fight Cotto like he fought Chico. In that fight PBF used a **** load of movement because he knew Chico could crack. With Cotto he doesn't have to worry about that type of power.

...I don't think Mayweather is physically capable of fighting that type of fight anymore. His legs have slowed down considerably. That said, he is still capable of picking off Cotto and beating him up and I expect him to do just that.

He will fight him the same way he fought Gatti. It will be an offensive attack with superb defense as well. He will play high speed chess with Cotto and it is going to be one sided. Cotto has a punchers and that is me being kind. Floyd will move at times but it will just be quick step back or to the side and right back to work.

Doubt it. The last time Mayweather fought anywhere near that level was against Gatti, who was pretty much put out to pastuer at that point.

Floyd wins a UD while taking some interesting moments during the fight. Anything beyond that is just fanatical delusion.

He can't do it for a full 12 that's for damn sure but he can still move when he needs to.

First Chico now gatti? I think Floyd will fight cotto like he's fighting cotto. Cotto fights nothing like gatti or chico everything he does is methodical Chico and gatti where relentless but way to one dimensional even when they attempt to improvise it looked unnatural. To their credit they where gifted in that one dimension, RIP

True. He doesn't have to move like he did against Diego. He just needs to control the range and create space quickly and that is what he did against Gatti. I honestly don't see Floyd going blow for blow with Cotto even though he said he would if Cotto wants a war. That is giving Cotto too many opportunities. Cotto has a punchers chance and all he needs to do is knock Floyd down for 10 secs and that is it. Why even give him more opportunities? Make him earn/create those opportunities.

I never said Cotto fights like them bc he doesn't. My comparison to Gatti is strictly Floyd being offensive while controlling the range. He himself said he will be offensive in this fight. I just have a feeling that he is going to let his hands go.
