He wasn't ready for mayweather and that he know that floyd was above him in all levels over the scene.

Also he says that they are on equal ground now. My guess is meaning they he is too a veteran with experience.

So people who has been saying that FLoyd avoided a fight with Cotto should stfu and quit making up lies now.

Actually the big duck theory was that he avoided him in '08 when he beat Mosley and Mayweather finished off Hatton. He then decided to "go on vacation".

There are plenty of articles where he called for a fight and now's the time to do it. The rest is history.

I don't know how other people follow boxing but I clearly remember Floyd calling cotto out on ESPN and went he got interviewed and the reason was that Cotto was too green and Arum wouldn't allow it. Basically Arum protecting his cash cow as usually. Floyd wanted to fight Oscar and willing to jump two weight classes to do it when he was at 135lb and Again Bob put a stop to that.

"I never spoke to Arum about or pushed for a fight with Mayweather at anytime."

    in an interview with ESPN

only on esb must the higher ranked boxer and greater draw be responsible for calling everyone out

cottos best win was against mosely. since then he has been in three wars(margo, paq, clottey) and pbf has been in none.

cottos chances here are pretty slim.

Floyd also went on record to say that cotto is not the same fighter since losing and that he thinks Clottey beat him !!

HE says that know but I remember back then when that fight was a possibility and FLoyd didn't want it. Floyd was smart. A lot more millions now

Mayweather calls out people but then he either prices himself out or comes up with something else to not make the fight happen. What fight was the last major risk Mayweather took?

Cotto wasn't ready and he isn't.

But for 8M + PPV revenue of course he takes the fight.

    :think

You could maybe argue he's made up ground with Floyd on high-level experience.

I don't see how you could argue he's made up ground with learning the craft.

Cotto is a very good boxer. Mayweather is a great boxer. Not sure how 14 pounds difference changes that. :huh

Cotto's a protected fighter for sure

watched him vs Mosley last night

Judge was scoring 10-9 Mosley in the 10th and 9th just so he could get his scorecard closer and not look too suspicious.

cotto won the fight but if the judge scored the 10th and 9th the other way (how the other judges had it) .. that scorecard would have been 6-8 points wide.

and that wasn't a 6-8 point fight... more like 1-2.. big disparity there.
