Good ****, I feel ya on this. I can bet you everyone that is predicting Mayweather will dominate the whole fight are still going to be watching on Saturday night. Why? Deep down they know Cotto has. Chance. This is boxing, anything can happen.

Man you're on a serious tangent, please understand my point, I'm not saying Mayweather does not have the option to go all twelve rounds. This is not about the two individuals, this is about irrational thinkers that basically say Cotto has no chance and doesn't even belong in the same ring. My point, which I will make yet again, according to the esb Mayweather experts, why have the fight if it's so one sided, why not just hand the title over.

Cotto doesn't have a realistic chance in this fight. A massive gulf in class exists between these two fighters. Bet your money as you see fit and make us all look like fools.

You could say that about every Mayweather fight we know he is going to win we just like to see the skills on display

Right. You prove my point well. As previously stated, I'm a boxing fan first. Somehow you read somewhere that I said Cotto would win. I did however say and stand by the statement that he has a chance. A better chance than most before him. That being the reason I watch boxing. I don't care either way who wins or loses, it affects my life in no way. What will you say if all Mayweather can do is get a majority or a split decision? The "massive gulf in in class" should negate that, yet it could happen.

That's been said about many great fighters before Mayweather. And sooner or later the unthinkable happened. Perspective, be objective not subjective. Anything can happen on fight night.

I'm not the one getting my panties wet over the prospect of Cotto surviving and winning a few rounds. I don't waste my time predicting fights being closer than the consensus suggests. The only underdogs I care about are the ones that deliver the win otherwise I'm just pissing away bets.

Listen, I'm not one of those guys that are completely writing off Cotto. But to me, this is the most telling part of this fight:

Miguel Cotto is the same height and has the exact same reach as Juan Manuel Marquez.

All this "Castillo", "ODLH" gameplan nonsense is just that. Cotto simply doesn't have the physical dimensions to employ that type of strategy and I don't think Diaz is that stupid to send in a guy who isn't resilient enough physically or mentally to carry it out.

Cotto's best chances have been described by better analytical posters than me on this site, but they are just that, chances. The deck is stacked against Cotto.

I do have to give it to the marketing team, Diaz and in some ways even Cotto. Because they have actually put themselves into this fight, when months ago, this fight was a forgone conclusion.

Perception just clouds what the initial idea most of us had was when this fight was first announced. That Mayweather is simply too good for Cotto.

The only thing I want to happen is that we as fans get to see a great fight. And maybe , just maybe, you will be the one on Saturday left wondering how what you thought impossible, just happened right before your eyes. It may not be Cottos' fight to win, but it certainly is Mayweathers' fight to lose. Either outcome will not make me lose any sleep.

That's not why we watch. We get another chance to see one of the best to ever do it get in the ring again. Most of us Floyd fans are pissed off at Victor because the headbutt cut short seeing Floyd more. I wasn't into boxing as a youngster but I'm glad I still got to see part of the ride with Floyd. There is a joy in watching near perfection as it happens. That's what you get when you watch Floyd operate.

I never argued that May is to good for Cotto. As a boxing fan all I want is a great fight and credit given to both fighters.

You are confusing me now. What is your point? You can hope and wish for the greatest fight ever the reality is Mayweather is going to put on a show are you upset about that?

No brother, the reality is that no one knows what is going to happen on Saturday. We can speculate, but we can't know for sure. If you indeed know 100% what will happen, then by all means, give me some Lotto numbers. My point, well, I've repeated it through out the post, and it's well explained in my original post. If May does put on a show, then outstanding! If they both put on a show, then even better. If Cotto puts on a show and pulls the upset so be it. Any of these scenarios is possible.
