    Anyone else?

It could be a good fight, probably will be. I'll definitely be watching. Just not feeling the hype like I usually do for a big fight.

Honestly looking forward to Canelo Mosley more.

I felt there was more buzz for the Ortiz tbh, but I learned to stop going off that because before every Pacquiao fight, we say this and he still puts up good numbers

Not really, to be honest. . . About the same as Ortiz/Mayweather. .

It's definitely not the same as his fight with Mosley. . . THat fight was so hyped - I would actually overhear people who don't even watch boxing, talk about it. . .

But Cotto has a very solid following in the US - he's a pretty good PPV attraction on his own. . . I could see this fight doing 1.5 milly buys. . .

Bradley pac seems a bit more interesting. Cotto is done.

The hype for the Ortiz fight was because Mayweather had been on vacation for so long..yet was still considered the best.. People wanted to see if he still had it or not (like when Tyson got out of jail, who didnt watch that fight?!)....skeptics ate humble pie even before Victor got knocked out...

This fight is still being sold well IMO. You will know how well the fight has been sold on fight night.

I agree. Even against Marquez, even though I personally felt anxious, I didn't feel that much hype. Then again, I know a lot of people are going to be tuning in as a fact. I guess it will catch up to me tomorrow, and I'll start feeling what a lot of people have already been feeling.

I do think Bradley/Pac is a more interesting fight. . . But Bradley just doesn't have the name, and following like Cotto does. . .

Cotto isn't really "done", or "shot", but he's not some rejuvenated boxer. . . But yeah, everytime a boxer gets beat down like they did against Pac (especially if they don't redeem the loss), he's going to leave a little something in the ring.

at first i was VERY excited, now im just looking forward to it. i felt a bit more excited for the Ortiz bout cuz he was making his comeback and fighting a hard hitting youngsta. and of course i thought the pac fight was going down next. but overall i like this matchup and have always wanted to see the two in the ring together. i think Cottos gonna get blown out and im just not giving Cotto much of a chance to win, but anything can happen. just ask the *******s about Marquez . im definately not looking past Cotto in this matchup.

I've been seeing a lot of bars with promos for Mayweather/Cotto in NYC. Obviously this is NYC so Cotto has a huge base here, but I've seen way more than for previous Mayweather or Pacquiao fights.

My problem with the fight is I just don't see how Cotto can even be competitive with Floyd. Cotto is just way too slow at this stage to land anything, and the size advantage may even be smaller than the one Ortiz had on Mayweather.

cotto does not have a chance! what advantage does cotto have? floyd is more skilled, faster, taller by 1" and has a 5" reach advantage. so, how on earth is this a competitive fight?
    floyd: height 5′ 8″ /173cm reach 72″ /183cm
    cotto: height 5′ 7″ /170cm reach 67″ /170cm

his only advantage is cotto is younger.. only
at least in the cotto/pac he was the bigger guy that's why he was able to do damage on pac before pac's speed took over.

I'm not talking about PPV numbers, just how hyped I personally am for the fight.

I think the pac and margo beat downs have killed a lot of potential hype for me.

Not to mention, people forget that shot to **** margo still had some success against Cotto, sharp as he looked.

edit: I really felt the HYPE for Ortiz. That was EXCITING. This feels like a routine name/stay busy fight to get on your resume.

Shorter men can win fighting a short man's fight, or inviting his taller opponent to give up his height.

The reach advantage looks long on paper, and it is a key factor, but when put next to each other, it doesn't look monumental:

Cotto didnt appear hungry enough when I saw him on the faceoff between him and Mayweather and it was a let down but I'm a fan of both fighters and I'll be glad to watch from a boxing fan standpoint but not as hyped as I was for Ortiz Mayweather where you know there was some genuine animosity before and during the fight. There will be no genuine dislike between these guys during the fight..
