Same. For big fights, I usually have a few mates texting me when/where/how to watch. Haven't heard anything from them this time. Probably because they were disappointed with the last two outtings from Pac and May. This 24-7 being the shittest one, doesn't help, either. Bit of a shame. I thought the build-up to this would be one of the best in recent years. Pac-Bradley is gonna' be worse
A-yessir! Sometimes fights that don't look good on paper, can turn into absolute wars, though. . . Lol maybe lil two pound Forbes will try to go to war with Vargas :bbb
The one thing I expect in this fight is a surprise. Either Floyd wins by knockout stoppage or Cotto wins in a way he is not expected. There is something unpredictable about it, and we really don't know what Cotto has left after the tough fights he has been in.
5.54 ET, make sure you adjust for our changing for the clock. Best thing to do is get one of those online world clocks and do the sums. Boxnation have the weigh-in I think.
The longer Mayweather-Pac doesn't happen the less I care about their other fights. It would be a relief to see both lose to be honest I'll be watching of course
I really hope you are right. Either scenario would make it an epic fight. I just don't want to see another pitty pat decision from Floyd.
I think the fight is going to bring out Floyd's fighting spirit which we rarely see. Cotto has that type of heart which can put enough pressure on Floyd where he has to fight, and I think Floyd is great enough to do it. I always thought he has the skills to beat anyone, I just don't know why he handpicks so much. He can beat anyone, but I am not sure he knows it.
The local cable channel is promoting the hell out of this fight. I've already gotten several "Reminders" from them in the mail that the fight is coming up this weekend and there's large ads in the local paper alerting the public to this PPV event etc. With all that, I haven't really heard many folks outside this forum talk about the fight. I think people are just getting tired of him and Pacman for their failure to make a fight the boxing fans really want to see. I'm not a big Mayweather fan and have seldom bought fights of the PPV genre since Tyson was KO'ing folks in less than 3 rounds with regularity. I guess I've got better things to spend $50+ dollars on nowadays.
I'm not a huge fan of either fighter, but I'll be red-eyeing it Sunday morning... I've seen both fighter fight loads of time before (TV obviously) and I stooped upon one of those videoreels on boxnation earlier, I don't think it'll happen B, but if Cotto gets him with one of those home-run punches May could be out of there....:good
