They usually keep this stuff secret until after the fight. And even after the fight, they don't give all details. It's just the way mafia Boxing works... Everything is always an estimate or a hypothesis.

Nah Cotto has a 8 million purse pluse PPV revenue, not sure what it totals out at, but it'll be the most he's ever made that's a given.

I think it's because fights involving Mayweather are, basically, Mayweather events. As in, he's the one setting up show (incurs all of the costs and hassle), and he's the one who gets all of the money from merchandise sold, food, sponsorts, TV, etc. That's how his business structure is set up. It's kind of like a pop concert. The the show's about one performer, and Mayweather is that performer.

With all of that, he simply then tells his dance partner (Cotto or whoever), "don't worry about costs or any promoters who you have to pay, here's 10 mill, and just leave the rest to us".

This is the main reason why he can't do business with Arum, and why he won't give Pacquiao 50-50. Because it's the Mayweather show. Not the Mayweather and Pacquiao show. With his business structure, he can't afford to run events like other promoters do.

Cotto is getting either 30/70 or 35/65 of the PPV's. Floyd is being generous with Cotto because he genuinely likes the guy.

Floyd offered PAC a flat fee because he's the Terminator who would make Floyd walk with a limp and all bent over for the rest of his life.

I never seen a terminator get cramps and sore feet. John Connor must be ****ing them up in the future with that movement and counter punching.:lol:

    interesting thread and interesting question

    interesting post .
Despite it is possible i still think that Mayweather is or at least was concerned about losing 2 Pacquiao . So is Cotto not with Arum anymore ? 2 get a fight with Mayweather a fighter needs 2 get rid of Arum or never sign with him @ 1st place ? I used 2 think that Mayweather ducked Cotto but if Arum was d reason then maybe he only rightfully ducked Arum . Im still sure he ducked Williams .
