    Round 3

Vasquez throws some sweeping body shots while tucking his chin, but Aburto has him scouted and jabs him in the forehead from a few paces off. Body shots trickle back in at Vasquez from outside. He keeps whacking away and trying to hold on as he ducks in against Aburto. Wild uppercut and hook combo from outside by Aburto miss, and Vasquez is able to grab again. All wild punches by both, Aburto missing a high 1-2 and Vasquez miscalculating a left to the body. Lots of tangling up. Uppercut to the body by Aburto, and some chopping rights to the head.

    29-28 Aburto

    Round 4

Lots of clinching. Aburto is able to line up some jabs and rights in between. Vasquez is just diving in, head down, fists spraying blindly up high and then thumping Aburto on the back once they're intertwined. More clinching...and more, and more. Left hook by Aburto as they separate.

    39-37 Aburto

    Round 5

Aburto comes running in, winging big wide folded-up lefts and rights around to the back of Vasquez's head. They grapple a bit until split up. Hard left hook to the body jumping in by Aburto. Straight left lead downstairs by Vasquez. 1-2 by Aburto. Another. Vasquez ducks down and shimmies out to the side, trying to slip shots. Aburto slaps in on him and Vasquez holds. Aburto hooks him on separation. Clinch, and Aburto hacks at the body. Big left hooks by Aburto pinning Vasquez on the ropes and not letting him clinch or escape. Gum shield out - Aburto's. Replaced. Double jab to the glove, and then a right cross wide of Vasquez's head by Aburto. Clinch. Wild hooks by Aburto swiveling at the waist. Big sloppy exchange.

WTF, both guys touched gloves and went running into their corners with their hands up to celebrate.

They thought it was a five rounder?

Or did they both think they already went six?

OK, the corners have settled them down, no more confusion. There's the hot ring card girl. Round six is indeed starting.

IMO, if Aburto had any power Vasquez would have been KTFO by now.

    Round 6

Aburto is opening up!! Trying to finish Vasquez! 1-2's and uppercuts. Vasquez can't participate much in the firefight from outside, so he dives in to clinch. Some slaps on the way out. Ooh, getting chippy. Hits on the break. Glaring at each other. Nasty. Clinching over and over, both wrenching on their opponent's arms, holding and hitting, hitting on the break and slapping away with rabbit punches. Ugly stuff. Aburto spanks Vasquez, whipping uppercuts to the bum. Vasquez ducks back toward the ropes and has his forehead painted by the 1-2.

    10-9 Aburto

    59-55 Aburto

Gonna head to Fox sports, these bogus fights they showed made them overlap.

Auberto gets the nod in a spirited, but sloppy fight.

Lanzos-Carrero next, I think. Can another journeyman score an upset on this card...???

What's your rush? Broadcast doesn't even start for 12 minutes.

Ponce de Leon obviously won't be on for a while, as the headliner.

Wait, I just heard the commentator repeat "empate" a few times in conjunction with Aburto's name.

    :blood

I hope that doesn't mean what I think it does (that the decision was overturned or initially misread or calculated wrong...and that the result was in fact "un empate"...a draw...)
