He fought Juan Manuel Marquez within the last 5 years, he is still fighting at top form, but is surly past his prime.

Floyd doesn't give GBP a percentage. He gives them a flat rate

i don't think oscar is that dumb to put up 32mil for a flat fee.

gbp likely takes 20-30% of what it guaranteed from the profit as it's fee, whatever is left of the profit is split between whatever floyd and cotto agreed to.

the guaranteed purse was negotiated by floyd's manager in haymon. standard cut for a manager is between 20-30% which means haymon will take about 6-9mil from floyd's guaranteed money. also 10% to his trainer.

-this news dispels the myth that floyd is collecting all the revenue and he'll then pay everybody off. gbp is pimping floyd.

-the higher the guarantee, the higher the fee that gbp will collect (as it's taking a larger risk) leaving less for floyd to get from the profit.

See this is your problem. Other people give sources and other quotes for stuff and you just say, "no that doesn't sound good to me. I THINK this is it"

promoters have always taken all or percentage of the profit as it's fee or reward for risking their money.

where is your source that gbp or other promoters take a flat fee to put up an event and risk a huge amount their money?
