Guys, MVC voted for RJJ. I think that pretty much seals the deal as he is quite possibly the biggest ***** on this board.
roy jones jr in his prime was the best ever. god gave him the most athletic talent when it comes to speed, power and refelx.jones was to nice of a fighter, broke all the boxing do and donts but **** he was superman.
Hopkins was 29 when RJJ fought him - four years older than Jones himself. He might not have reached his highest technical level, but it certainly was within his physical prime. The victory remains the clearest loss of Hopkins' career untill he faced Dawson and the only time B-Hop has looked bewildered in his prime. Toney was unbeaten - and ranked very highly p4p. Of course he made excuses after the fight, but if you take that into account, no fighter has had a great win ever. I maintain that those two wins and the conquest of the HW title is better than anything on Mayweather's resume. If Floyd was to beat Pacquiao and then take the middleweight title from Martinez (at 160) I would consider him to have surpassed Roy. If he did one of the two, I might consider them equal or perhaps slightly ahead. But it hasn't happened yet.
