Yep, it blew up huge, something like that can really damage your stock. The lawsuit is bull**** though, nothing will come of that.

 

Unless it comes out that Floyd told Grant to make these gloves this way so that he gets an unfair advantage...the fault lies with the manufacturer. And, if those gloves were deemed "illegal" in the first place instead of just not being approved for the fight because it was brought up to the commission.

I'm not sure what the deal is with the gloves. I'll wait and see what comes out.

As far as the other thing....I'm for the increased testing. Much further than what Floyd is doing. I'm for "Year Round, Random testing." Although I do hear there is debate if testing is also more of a scam from the testers side of things because of the cost...but that should be worked out so its not.
And I'm not for people, like the Mayweather Team, accusing out-right an athlete of using without any concrete proof. You can request further testing, but you shouldn't publicly make statements of so and so using PEDs.

I wonder what the deal is with the plastic insert. Is it to protect the thumb (like i just read they do with hockey gloves) or is it for something else?

 

Well prior to DLH-Pacquaio Manny was unable to use the same type of brace on his thumbs. He'd been using them before and Oscar knew it so he checked them on that. Also, Freddie Roach was talking about rolled up pieces of tape they protested against DLH using for reasons of the "tape coming through the gloves and cutting his fighter". It's funny how Pac had to rewrap his OWN hands (something I've never seen in boxing) for those same rolled up pieces of tape. They knew they couldn't use 1 inch pieces. 1/2 inch pieces are legal but are borderline.

Manny is the biggest cheater in boxing. If his head wasn't getting bigger every year, he'd still be juicing. He stopped because if his head gets any bigger, he will look like Brainchild.

 

There's only 1 reasin why a pro fighter would refuse to take a drug test. **** what you thought. A clean fighter would jump on the 1st opportunity to clear his name. He wants us to just believe him. People beat urine tests so easily. There's only 1 way to find out of someone is blood doped...That's by taking blood.

Pacquiao is a disgrace to boxing and to his nation. The truth will eventually come out. When it does, people will point fingers. That guy is as dirty as it comes and we seen the difference between Manny who was cutting corners, and the Manny who had to go in and train for 10 weeks. It was his best camp ever but he looked like less than an ordinary fighter.

 

A few things:

Canelo was reported to have requested the same type of gloves yet Floyd is the only one being accused of trying to gain unfair advantage. Based on what we know (which isn't a lot), we're supposed to assume not one but two high profile athletes were planning to cheat on the same day? Possible, yes, but highly ****ing unlikely.

Floyd will wear proper gloves before he enters the ring whereas Pacquiao was somehow allowed to continue to fight Margarito with illegal hand wrapping procedure. Garcia pointed it out before the fight and was pretty much told to keep his mouth shut in order to receive his paycheck.
