Mayweather has problems with his hands. I hear one of his ribs isn't in great shape either. Cotto is coming off a great performance, and has an outstanding body attack.

I can see an upset here, but for that to happen, Cotto needs to let his hand's go anytime he's in range, and work the body hard. The danger for Cotto is, he doesn't have great durability.

I see this as a competitive match up. I do think Mayweather is a special talent, but I also think he's a punk, and would like to see him taste defeat.

Cotto's good....very good, but as long as Mayweather's focused, not distracted by his forthcoming stay in the 'big house' I can't see him losing.

    Mayweather by decision.

He's definitely got a chance but obviously and rightly so Mayweather is the favourite. I was tempted to go for Cotto by 10th round KO on the worldwide prediction league(facebook)but **** out and picked Mayweather on points for the percentage bet.

I think he has a chance and I think this fight is going to bring out the best in Mayweather and hes either going to rise to the occassion or get knocked out.
Your going to see a good fight. This is the best opponent Mayweather has faced in a very long time and I dont think he even realizes how tough Cotto is. Cotto is very underated in my opinion.

I still believe Mayweather will win, but I think its going to be a special fight. Cotto had some problems with preparation and training in the past that kind of held him back, specifically against Pac, but I think he is in top shape for this fight and will make it a good one however it ends.

Mayweather will either have an easy decision or will stop him..Cotto has no chance..
and of course, Alvarez by decision over Mosely.

He has no chance. Different levels and Cotto does not natch up well with Floyd, he's much slower and throws too wide.

He's a hard working but very fallibe fighter. Floyd can stop Cotto or cruise to a victory, but he'll have his way all night it saddens me to say, too good for Miguel, especially at this stage.

Floyd pretty much exclusively fights straight on guys. Cotto has fought shopworn, but bigger and tough aggressors in his last two fights (Mayorga and Toni)

Floyd is also far better prepared to deal with the styles clash. I love Cotto, but he's not of that high calibre and never will be.

No, very little chance whatsoever. Too slow, too static and too open to counter shots. He gets shut down and either stopped or (more likely) loses wide on the cards.

    Agreed.

Cotto has like a zero % margin of error for the fight. And he needs Mayweather to bring his B game to even make it competitive.

I think his skin will be a problem at some time in the bout and if he is way behind on the scorecards, it could be a rare tko for Floyd.

The Huck/Ola bout is far more competitive and that's the one I am looking forward to.

Dunno what happened to the other classic Mayweather/Cotto thread...so here we go...again. The one thing I can kinda glean from watching the abysmal 24/7 is that Diaz is training Cotto to let his shots go with out setting so much. This is very sound and will help Cotto quite a bit...so in that sense, Cotto will be better prepared stylistically then say the '07 version of Cotto. But Cotto has alot more mileage than he did then. I would guess Cotto will also carry a 10 lb advantage come fight night. But the main thing here is styles, and talent. I've picked some clunkers before...but what I think it will boil down to is simply Mayweather's ability to reach Cotto from the outside. I think Mayweather fights an aggressive fight tonight, primarily moving to his left, away from Cotto's best hand. Mayweather will have to initiate (or move) when Cotto attempts to step with him to cut off the angle...Mayweather will dictate pace from the beginning. I feel that Cotto's team is aware of what DLH did by following Floyd instead of cutting him off, but I still feel Mayweather's talent is the difference...The key punch for Mayweather will be the left jab tonight. But I also feel Floyd will dominate inside... Mayweather UD or possible late stoppage. Cotto is totally out of options by round four.

Not really, however, I hope he somehow manages to land a bodyshot that ends the fight.
