Rawling: "I'm hearing that DeMarcus Corley has sprung the upset against Paul McCloskey."
    Spencer: "What happened there then?"
    Rawling: "He won."
    Spencer: "Duh."

Was a weird but good stoppage. McCloskey was totally ko on his feet, maybe he need another punch to get totally out, but better fight again than take that last punch. The ref did his job.

Omar Figueroa is on in a minute on the untelevised undercard, good prospect he is.

EDIT: No it's Keith Thurman next, 16(15)-0.

Haters gonna hate but yet again McCloskey was cheated not defeated. Imagine how gutted we'd have been if Huck/Afolabi was stopped like that tonight :verysad

That's one of the stupidest things I have read, where is Hearn supposed to find an extra $400k?

Maidana fights twice a year, three if he is lucky, he regularly takes fights in Argentina for what I am sure will be less than $100k, taking what would have been a fairly easy fight for decent money would have made good sense, unless he lost it wouldn't have done anything to impact his chances of fighting on HBO or Showtime for the big money. That right there is the problem with Boxing in this age fighters would more rather sit on there arse then take a chance and stay busy.

I swear to god, when IJL walked PM to his corner he was considering calling the doctor to look at his nose.

He was itching for a wayout.

Phillips had a much better record iirc?

Normally Frank would avoid a fighter who's dangerous with 19 losses. He'd look for a lighter puncher with 5-7 losses to lesser opposition, like that fella Tyson Fury fought from Germany. Zellerman was it. A cab driver with 22-4 or summat. Degale v Sam Horton 17-1 iirc.

All about feather fisted fighters with positive records, late notice to help the struggle in weight and its all good.

Ian John Lewis really needs to take up tiddlywinks or pocket billiards, decent nights boxing so far, the O'Kane v Fitzgerald was my favourite so far
