Bute tucks his chin, uses his shoulder (successfully against orthodox fighters keep in mind something Floyd can't even do), brings his left to the right side of his face if necessary, uses his low right to protect his body, is great at dictating range and has great reflexes. That is 5 facet's to his defense that make him dropping his right virtually irrelevant. Froch on the other hand also drops his left only he doesn't tuck his chin, tries to use his shoulder but sucks at it and will not be even remotely successful with it against a southpaw, brings his right hand away from the side of his face with his bow and arrow flaw, doesn't protect his body with his left and doesnt have great reflexes. In summary Collins lack of insight from a professional fighter as successful as he was is just shocking. and this. Often it is a ploy to draw opponents punches so he can counter. He gives them a target then takes it away. Martinez also does this alot.
