Larry Merchant is such a ****ing goof. Steward answers his question, then Merchant repeats it, coming at Steward, only to have to be told his question has already been answered. Replace Larry Merchant.

One trying to squash his fighter? :conf

"Sorry, nobody showed up at the venue and ESPN2 got terrible ratings. We're going to have to drop you..."

Demetrius comes across as a stupid thug, and hasn't been looking too impressive lately. I can see his promoter having gotten sick of his bad attitude and dead weight.

Well it's Forbes, got to expect that. Can't blame Vargas at all.

    Round 8

Vargas circles right, pops his left jab, and drops some axe-fall rights to the body. Forbes inches toward him, hovering his guard now instead of the shoulder roll. A few hip-checks into the ropes and shoe shines to the body by Forbes, but they're just minimal bursts of aggression and very sparse throughout the round - and Vargas is never trapped for long.

    80-72 Vargas

Why replace him when he adds more entertainment to the main event's outcome? :deal

    Round 8

Vargas again popping the jab and Forbes trying to jab with him to throw on the inside. Vargas jabs to body and head of Forbes. Nice left and right from Vargas. Vargas slips a nice left in the middle of a Forbes flurry backing away. Nice 1- 2 from Vargas. Vargas throws hard right to the body of Forbes. Vargas eats a hard left hook from Forbes while he is galling back to the ropes. Excellent left from Forbes at the end of the round and he stunned Vargas but it was still Vargas's round

    78 - 74 Vargas
