Watching the post presser right now at
    http://www.primerahora.com/videos/en-vivo/

States he didn't think Cotto was as strong as he was... that he would hit Cotto to the body thinking he would slow but Cotto would come back with more pressure and counters...

Mayweather said Cotto has to keep his held high!

That he definitely took alot of punishment tonight and that Cotto also took more punishment than him....

Cotto hit me with some good shots! Also mentioned that he doesn't know what else he can do in the sport... that there is no one else to fight other than Pacquaio and he don't want to make the fight...

Cotto one of hardest fighter i ever fought if not the hardest but it comes wtih the game and i still over came it and won...

    Very humble of Floyd!

For people shitting on Cotto consider the last comment, possibly the toughest opponent he fought.. The consensus was Cotto gonna get chopped up and finished by a good number of people, know they all silent..

I don't believe 100 % that Floyd could have made it easy and simply "chose to stay on the ropes." I take my hat off to him fully for toughing it out like he did, but I think Cotto had more to do with the pace and location of the fight than Floyd did.

Oh my god, did you actually watch the fight? When Floyd actually just boxed Miguel, stayed on his toes and stayed mid to long range, he was boxing Cotto's ears off. :patsch

Floyd hangs on the ropes in a lot of his fights, it's where he does good work. Mayweather has been saying since this fight began that he was going to fight it out... he even said he was ready to go to war if cotto wants it. Floyd has been fighting a more aggressive type of fight at the higher weights since Mosley and everytime since then he has said he is not running around and he is going going to fight. He did it each time.

Negative, Cotto held Mayweather while walking him to the ropes.

Sometimes Floyd can take a break on the ropes, play rope a dope but he was getting tagged, and yeah Cotto did back him up and keep him on the ropes at times..

He could have made it easier by circling out off the ropes at times and went back to boxing at long range. Cotto did press him to the ropes though. Great foot work by both guys and great infighting. Cotto took some good shots to the body and so did Floyd.

Also Floyd could have just giving him movement all night if he wanted to. Give Floyd credit for doing what he said he was going to do.

I admit that, Miguel was keeping him there successfully at times. Miguel is an accomplished boxer as well, not just a brawler.

    It was a good fight.

    Respect for both fighters.

As far as Floyd against the ropes...whatever the case may be...some of those punches sounded loud from Miguel.

I agree with you. I posted in the other thread too that I think he's telling the truth, but he's exaggerating a good bit as well.
