Just back from the Pub, great fight floyd changed back to his defensive style at the end though. I seriously thought Cotto would get stopped but he exceeded my expectations props to mayweather and bravo to Cotto!

I was suprised at how many shots Cotto blocked and dodged.. He had a really nice sneaky jab, some that came from different angles...

He roughed Floyd up for a few rounds, would have liked to see him be a lil more explosives with combinations, since that seemed to work when he had him in the corner and on the ropes..

mayweather shouldn't have made it such a brawl but i guess he wanted to prove he's warrior. he coulda had a much easier time boxing fromt he outside and moving

Cotto fought a great fight, but the judges had it right. It's real easy to get caught up in the hype of Floyd slugging it out and getting hit more often than usual, but he won this fight going away. Cotto kept the rounds competitive, but didn't do enough to win many of them.

Had Floyd chose to stay on the outside and box, it would have been a shutout, in my opinion.

And so much for that "Cotto is shot" b.s. He was the best I've seen him in a very long time.

Floyd chose to put himself on the ropes to make it a more exciting fight, it's quite obvious. I'm glad people thought it was exciting, because it's good for boxing, but as a Mayweather fan I would have liked to see him keep it in the middle of the ring. It would have been an easy 12-0 shutout. I only gave Cotto 2 rounds.

Great fight,Cotto looked good but couldn't do enough in rounds to take it.I only scored 3 for him.Mayweather started brilliantly but around the mid way point seemed a bit lazy.Cotto roughed him a bit but Floyd took over from around the 9th.When Floyd was fighting with his back to the ropes,I wasn't sure if he was setting traps or trying to make it exciting.Either way it was a bad move.
Diaz and Cotto look a great team so far and a fight with Alvarez would be great.
If Floyd gets Pacquiao,I think he will dominate but I would worry for him against someone like Martinez if he sits on the ropes again

Cotto made him fight on the ropes. Floyd has given up the center of the rings numerous times, most notably against De La Hoya. He sets traps on the ropes, but Cotto pushed him there against his will several times. The fight was not that competitive solely because Floyd felt like putting on a show.

Excellent fight. Cotto looked better than I have seen him in years.

Mayweather should have boxed more as when he did he was having success.

However, he said he wanted to make it an exciting fight and it certainly was.

Credit to Mayweather for going up in weight for a title when he probably shouldn't have.

Of the first three rounds, I thought Cotto might have done enough to earn round 2, but it's not unreasonable to give all three to Floyd. Cotto had the right game plan against Floyd, which is the swarming style, but he did not have the elite swarmer's stamina to maintain it. He ran out of steam by the last four rounds, whereas Floyd did not. This was Floyd's toughest opponent and his best fight. This fight really showed that Floyd is an elite fighter, with no elite opponents to fight. Except for Pacquiao, of course.

cotto did better than i thought, but this went pretty much how i said it would...i said several times floyd would be nose to nose with cotto and would chop him up with uppercuts...cotto got in some nice shots on the releases though, which is usually where floyd with get you with an extra shot..i credit that to diaz
