Of course a lot will say he can because of the Marquez fights vs Pac and while Floyd had an easy fight against Marquez. Well you can forget the facts Pac fought the prime Marquez twice in his two best weight divisions and well weight adjusted at 144 in the 3rd fights plus having a 24 rounds luxury experiences knowing how to fight Pacquiao. The 3 fights results were very competitive that can go either way. While Floyd won the fight against Marquez convincingly, the Maquez who fought Floyd that time was a lightweight and has no prior experience fighting at welterweight plus the weight cheating as well. Forget all these facts.

My point is...If Oscar, Hatton, Mosley and Cotto gave Floyd a very good fights what makes you think the person who beat them in one sided fashion, knocked them down several times, ko, tko, will be an easy fight for Floyd?

    Yes.

Cotto can do things that Pacquaio can't.
Pacquaio can do things that Cotto can't.

It just so happens that the things Pacquaio do play to Mayweather's strengths.

No. I thought before and think now that Mayweather would win a very hard fight by a couple of rounds against the Pacman and ive seen nothing to change my mind.

Not easily, but he would win. Styles make fights. Cotto has a great effective jab, he fought better when he's fighting at a slow pace, and he rarely gets off balance after he throw/land his punches. I knew he would gave Floyd trouble because Floyd isn't a natural pressure fighter like Margarito and Manny where they were able to fought Cotto at much faster activity level fighting pace. Manny is often off balance after he throw his punches, and he doesn't have an effective accurate jab like Cotto, nor does he know how to fight effectively on the inside. Manny is an explosive mid-range fighter, and Floyd did showed that he can still fight effectively in the center of the ring.

I never seen the fight last night but my position has always been... fmj beats pac decisively at any point in their careers, at any weight.... in a competitive fight as far as activity & fmj being made to work but not competitive as in rounds won or debate about who won.

I stand by that without having seen last nights fight.... & I wanted Cotto to win, for the record.

9-3 8-4 8-2 and 11-1 aren't good fights in the way your trying to imply. also

    1. Oscar at 147 doesn't count for anything.
    2. Pac looked like **** vs Mosley.
    3. 10-2 if it went the distance and 9-3 aren't all that different score cards

Most people here think Floyd will beat Pacquiao because of Pacs lack of a right hand, his lack of defence and his openness to being countered.

pac would **** floyd up and i expect mannys camp to start saying that **** outright from now on. fighters that trouble floyd are still having nightmares about pac but floyd is suppose to dominate pac? and stop with the styles make fights, fighters make fights.
