Poor Lara noone wants to fight him.

People are forgetting how well Molina performed against him.

I agree with VF......gotta fight the K9/Spinks winner to get a strap and some leverage. Defend against PWILL(money fight) than go ahead and give Kirkland a shot if he's not done.

Eventually I'd like to see if Canelo could take Miguel best shots. I don't think he can, but would Arum or GBP risk it. IDK.

As for fighting fringe guys like Lara...there's no reward there. I mean maybe if he gets a title he could give Quintana a last payday, but Cotto's stock can still go up.:think

Sometimes, fighters are TOO good, and get avoided like the plague.

Alvarez seems the most logical step, winnable fight, big payday, world title, and beating a future floyd opponent would place him right in the mix for a rematch.

Years ago, I would keep Cotto from Williams, but now, I'd like Cotto after him. Williams is not the same guy he was years ago. Cotto could take him but it be a tough, brutal fight.

Cotto doesn't get schooled by Mayweather; the best fighter P4P. Lara gets beat by Molina and gets a gift decision but Cotto is going to get schooled by Lara now. Ok :patsch

Lara and Martinez getting disgustingly overrated here.

After what I saw what Lara did to Williams, I think he'd out-slick Cotto. I am a huge Cotto fan. Just my opinion. Cotto won't fight him anyway, and I don't blame him. Lara is high-risk, low reward.

K9, Lara, Martinez, Berto and Kirkland have 0(Z E R O) fanbase so those fights are a no go... I believe GBP would set Canelo vs Cotto in one of Miguel's last 1 or 2 fights...

A showdown vs Mr Frustration Ortiz would be good.

From what I saw from both fighters yesterday Cotto and Canelo, Miguel would definitely beat Cinnamon in a very entertaining fight, Cinna-Bun let Shane get to close too often, Shane just couldn't pull the trigger he also seemed to lack power, Cotto still has alot left..

It's about least amount of resistance to get a belt. I see Cotto and K9 getting it on. Then Cotto seeking the bigger fights.

He'll get the winner of Ortiz Berto or Canelo, Cotto has lots of options

Like people stated before, Cotto should put everything into getting Cornelius Bundradge just to win a belt and then target Canelo, Floyd/Manny rematches at 154. If he can't get those immediately then milk the title in winable defences on HBO or Showtime. He's only 31, and doesn't appear to be damaged even after all the wars he's been in so I see no reason in him not fighting another 3 years or so.
