Does Canelo lack the killer instinct?

    Just watching the fight last night I kept thinking if he kept putting it on Shane he could of atleast knocked him down. Does anybody else feel that even though he is a good fighter, he just isn't a wolf

    He carried Shane in the last 3 rounds after almost knocking him out with a body shot in the 9th. Nice brawl in the end, Canelo went for showing instead of punishing.

    It was Shane Mosely, but then again he could have shown some finish to it all. But a good account of himself!!

    I don't think that he lacks killer instinct. I think that he is a 21 year old fighter, who is still gaining experience... and he's smart enough to take the big win against Mosley while not risking more than he had to in order to win very impressively. A loss there would have been horrible for him, and I'm sure that plays in the mind while you have a big fight like that in the bag already.

    Canelo showed the HOF fighter the respect he deserved & didn't lose his head.
